I can't really see the difference between this one and the other cheaper brands.

I purchased this item because I wanted the best, but the cable would not work on my satellite receiver. I tried multiple cables that were far less expensive and my receiver worked fine.

I got this cable November 12, 2016 and I used it for my PS4, and now on March (3 months later) the cable started failing. I was troubleshooting with other TVs and found out it was the cable. For a moment I thought it was my PS4 failing which made me feel terrible. Once I tried another cable it worked fine. I paid close to 100.00 for this cable and I removed it from my PS4 maybe twice to clean it or dust off the PS4. I heard monster HDMI cables were the best, but after this I will stay away from them.

Did not work. Not compatible with Wii U , PS4 , PS3 , Samsung Tv ... all brand new but the cables did not work

This was my first experience with a HDMI cord that could only be placed in one direction for sending a signal. I had run a smurf tube for the cable to go in my wall to my tv however out of fear for stripping the cable had to get an electrician to assist in removing the hdmi and running back through. Also the cable does not lock in to ports well and will very easily be removed causing you to lose signal.

Monster products are always the best of quality and long lasting. The only problem is they do not work great with the xbox one for some reason, it always falls out. but on every other device it is great

For some reason the picture or sound wants to keep dropping out for no reason. Went back to my cheap cable and no more problems

If I did not come across a review of how this cable has one end specifically for the TV, I would have been back at Best Buy for a 3rd HDMI cable. I had no idea that this Monster Black Platinum HDMI cable was made with one end for the TV and the other end for the source (Receiver, DVD Player, Cable STB). I had purchased an LG OLED TV to replace my 8 year old Panasonic Plasma TV. The Panasonic was wall mounted and video was fed through 3 HDMI cables (1st HDMI cable from TV to HDMI wall plate, 2nd HDMI cable from back of HDMI wall plate through inside of the wall to bottom HDMI wall plate, 3rd HDMI cable from bottom wall plate to AVR). I wanted to reduce any possible degradation of signal by reducing 3 cables to 1 cable. I could not figure out for the life of me why my 6 year old Monster HDMI cable worked fine, but when the new Monster cable was connected, no video, only sound. I researched every possible cause from both Denon and LG to figure out why this new cable would not work. I even called Denon support who was a confused as me. Who would have thought that the cable has a designated end specifically for the TV!!!!!! 1 week and countless hours lost, but problem finally solved. Monster, shame on you for not putting a label on the product box informing customers that one end is specifically for the TV or something more than a small yellow band on the cable that reads "TV". Same goes for the Best Buy staff. I have built 4 surround environments in my home and have never come across an HDMI cable that has one end specifically for the TV.

nice job upscaling the picture would recommend if u have a 4k tv

with out hd, tv isn't the same, go buy this its great

Hard to beat a cable made by Monster. A little pricey but worth it for the best entertainment quality.

This Cable is very expensive and should not have an issue right out of the box. The cable is directional which is odd to me but even when the TV end is set in the correct direction no picture or sound is being communicated between my X1 cable box and my brand new LG OLED TV. I have tested the connection with a cheep HDMI cable and everything is running perfectly. Now I need to take the TV down again and fish a new wire that actually works. Don't waist your money, I will not be buying Monster products ever again as this is the second time I have gotten an HDMI cable of theirs that did not work right out of the packaging.

Bought this to go with my Sony 4K tv. This cable was a sure proof way to make sure i can handle the content speeds need to support this format and 3D viewing.
