For now, I simply connected one end to a Blu-ray player and the other to the HDMI2 slot of the UHD TV, plugged in the player and turned on the TV, inserted a disc and enjoyed a non-Blu-ray disc.

What I really like about it is the gripping,holding power on the both connecting ends. I have an older monster cord that I paid two hundred and fifty dollars for and the grip is too loose and moves around too easily. Their new grip is much much improved.
