Works great!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keep a stable connection to Spectrum. Although it was a headache to get it set up with Spectrum. Not the Modem's fault at all! Spectrum forced me to upgrade to DOCSIS 3.1, they "Quarantined" my old modem so that it didn't work anymore. So I bought this one, and their system wasn't even ready to activate it!

Motorola MB8611
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to stop the incessant xfinity emails telling me my current modem didnt allow me the speeds I was paying for. It was a breeze setting up with the xfinity app, and my speeds are 200-300mbps more on average. Grab one if you start getting those emails.

Best next gen modem/just make sure to buy router 2
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best modem next gen modem to pair with a next gen router! You must have a router paired with this since there is no built in WIFI with this model! Have had no problems with this so far and this modem is compatible with most cable/internet providers for those that don’t want to “rent” their modem and save about 10 bucks a month! Worth it!

Upgrading my cable modem to a DOCSIS 3.1
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to this faster modem (using DOCSIS 3.1) in order to make sure we are using all the bandwidth we are paying for from Comcast (Xfinity). Super easy to install and set up. Slim design. Plenty of ventilation.

great cable modem wth 2.5g connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.probably best cable modem you can ask for for now with its 2.5g Ethernet output, as most only have 1g capping your speed if you got more on your plan like i do. its was between this and similar spec Arris version, but Motorola has better design to not be overheating.

Reliable brand. Simple setup.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple and easy setup. I was online in minutes. Needed to upgrade my modem after going to a better, faster plan from my ISP. Unit design allows heat to dissipate. Replacing a Motorola Arris unit with another because the product experience has been stellar.

Works great for Spectrum Cable Los Angeles region.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had connectivity issues w/ a more expensive Netgear CM1200 modem that has Spectrum branding on the box. After weeks of troubleshooting with Spectrum and having technicians come out to replace coaxial lines, the issue didn't resolve. Switching to this cheaper Motorola modem fixed all connectivity issues and has been stable. Now, if only we can get rid of the cable monopoly and get better fiber optic gigabit internet providers like the rest of the world... one can only dream.

Seems to Work Fine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s difficult to rate something like this because it’s hard to know whether the problem is in your equipment or with the ISP. I do know that I’m able to get faster speeds on this modem over my old device, so I’ll call it good!

Works as advertised
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem is FAST, and essentially doubled my downstream speed after upgrading from a DOCSIS 3.0 modem (circa 2016). For those advanced users wanting to access the cable modem admin page (192.168.100.1), the modem doesn't respond, if you're connected to the Internet. I was able to access this landing page on my previous Zoom modem. Thus, no way of checking what your signal levels are doing while connected. The modem does respond on ARP broadcasts and ICMP-Echo requests, but not TCP ports 80, 443 or 8080.

Good Modem for 2Gbps
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pleasantly surprised with the ease of setup and on getting my whole 1Gbps speed of my internet connection. The spec says it can do 2Gbps. So there is enough head room when the internet carrier speeds increase for future proofing the device

Modem Failed - Warranty Claim Impossible
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem worked fine, while it worked. Motorola claims a two year warranty. Good luck finding someone at Motorola who will help you. All the published phone numbers and email addresses that I can find basically are not answered. Then I found a site to enter a claim and after inputting the information, I got a "our systems are down, we'll get back to you soon" reply. That was three weeks ago.

Reliable and reasonable price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works like a champ! Replaced my Xfinity Modem/Router with this. I already had a mesh Wi-Fi router so Xfinity's unit was overkill. Just needed a cable modem and now save $14/mo. Works just as fast or better than the cable provided modem.

Does what it should do.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent modem. Works great with Spectrum. Doesn't not have the garbage Intel Panther chipset like the router that the cable company provided. If you're having issues with slow internet due to high pings and high jitter, it's probably your modem. This fixed all of those issues.

Nice High Speed Modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this modem for about six weeks now and it has work flawlessly. Set up was easy. It required activation with my Internet service provider. Once that was done this modem kicked and has worked like a charm with no issues. It handles high speeds without bottlenecks. Very pleased with the purchase.
