Intermittent Connection Issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded my internet speeds to 1GB and purchased this to feed into my mesh network. Works great when it works… however my internet cuts out intermittently since purchasing product. My assumption was it was an issue with my internet provider however working with them and replacing connections, wires, etc. it was determined the modem is faulty. It was unfortunately past my Best Buy return date and it’s been a week with still no response from Motorola. If Motorola had better customer service and took care of their faulty product perhaps I could have left a 4/5 star review however with the constant cut out and lack of urgency to resolve the issue I would say explore other modem brands.

Do not buy this for comcast xfinity
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comcast xfinity pushed a firmware update rhat you cannot reverse and as a result, we lose internet for a couple minutes throughout the day. This is the error message you can find in the modem log “SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol”. I am out of $200 because of this. Recommend buying a different model.

Doesn't work with Xfinity
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This may be a great product by Motorola but it does not currently work with Xfinity despite them stating it does. The wifi will not stay connected. Root cause according to an Xfinity forum is Xfinity keeps pushing software update 21.3.7 which causes the connection issues. I was busy with work and didn't install for a couple weeks and now I'm outside the Best Buy return period. I'm out $190 and still need a functional modem.

TRASH OUT THE BOX/ NO PRODUCT SUPPORT
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Intermitted Signal within the first week. Troubleshooting with Motorola. Cable:internet company switched all wiring to and within the home. Even bought a brand new router. In the end it was a bad “brand new” modem. Best Buy won’t help and after just hitting a month and a half since purchase. Motorola wants to charge me to mail them back their crap. Sooooooo disappointed in Best Buy and Motorola with this treatment. The way you treat customers can bring you more customers or cause you to lose the ones you have. -Sincerely a Proud Veteran with kids virtually learning and having to work remote as well.

Terrible gadget. Don’t buy
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem worked well for a few months. After that it started tripping. I called Motorola but unfortunately after taking my information I was asked to send an email for someone to call me back after 24-48 hrs. They don’t have technical support on call. You’re on your own for help.

Fast and reliable
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this along with my own router to replace a unit provided by Mediacom. The modem rarely needs a reboot and the connection seems faster and more reliable. Have already recommended to neighbors and friends.

Solid Modem for Xfinity Gb connections
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No problems to date - works as advertised for our 1.2Gb connection with Xfinity. When Xfinity switched their Gb plan from 1 to 1.2 our Arris 8200 become a useless brick. This product is future-proof for years to come.

Good alternative to MB8611
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great modem, but I would have bought the cheaper MB8600 if available. Other than that, this is a good option with nice features and easy setup.

Good when it worked
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this March 31, 2021. I liked it when it worked, but it died yesterday. Not a total death, but an unusable one. It will only keep an internet connection for about 3 minutes, then drops it for 5 or more. That was a continuous cycle yesterday until I finally swapped it out for my old modem, and have had a steady connection since.

Is this modem really going to work with xfinity?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I bought this item, I researched on xfinity and I bought this modem based on xfinity's approved modems. The box of the modem also mentions it is xfinity approved. But it turned out to be not the case. Modem momentarily worked after installation, but then internet connection was lost. Xfinity tech even came to house, but he told me it is not xfinity's equipment problem So, I have to reinstall xfinity's gateway back. Wasted my time.
