Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Moto G Plus (5th Gen) for its affordability, especially during the holiday season. They are also impressed with the camera quality and the excellent battery life. The phone's storage capacity and unlocked status are also well-received. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the lack of NFC, which limits the use of Android Pay, and the speaker volume, which they find inadequate.

Battery lasts most of the day with extremely heavy use. Phone never lags, even with multiple games and apps open in back ground. Nice features my HTC didn't have. Inserted my AT&T sim card, linked my Google account, phone was ready to go. Go buy, you won't be disappointed

After researching all of the available options for unlocked cellphones, I found that this phone has the features that I wanted and needed for a price that I could tolerate. It has been easy to set up and use. I am looking forward to having this phone for a good long time!

I watched and read a lot reviews before I purchased the phone. All of them pointed to this being the best phone under 300, and they were right. Great finger print reader. Opens everything quickly. Good camera.

This is my first Smartphone, and I couldn't be happier with it. Camera takes good quality pictures. Sound quality is excellent. Has Moto Help App for learning your phone. Has one of the lowest SAR values, which was of importance to me. I love it!

Switched to this phone when Microsoft quit supporting the Windows Phone. For an Android, this is a decent phone. Clear, responsive, and bright display. Phone is fast. Call quality is good. Lots of storage space. Easy to operate.

This is my third Moto G family phone. I have a no contract service and buy my phones upfront. For this reason, I can't spend $700+ on a premium phone. Nor do I want to, since a phone is so easily broken, lost, or stolen. This phone is an excellent mid-range phone purchase for the money. It does everything that a smartphone needs to do and does it well. The only thing that only slightly disappoints is that I know the camera quality could be better when compared to a premium phone. That is not to say that the camera is bad, though. For most shots, it's perfectly fine. As a repeat customer, I highly recommend this line. I would also recommend paying a little more for the higher RAM (4 GB vs. 2 GB) and ROM (64 GB vs. 32 GB). I also added a 64 GB SD card to hold music and photos. This ensures that you have the capacity to hold your media and to update the OS and apps as necessary.

Why worry about a thousand dollar phone when you can pick this gem up for a very reasonable price. You drop it in a lake, like I did, you pick up another one. It's powerful and unlocked and expandable for more memory. Battery life is excellent. Can't lose.

I wish I had known about buying unlocked phones from Best Buy a long time ago! This phone is every bit as good as all the VZW branded phones I bought for years. A simple swap of the Sim card from old phone to new phone and I was up and running just like that.

I had to retire my Windows Phone, and I do like this phone. It's my first Android, but I find the learning curve is easy. I was surprised how dependent you are on GMAIL and GOOGLE with Android, but it's no different than the Microsoft or Apple Cloud. It's a good unlocked phone with solid specs.

I didn't want to lease a phone, nor did I feel like paying $600 plus outright for a cell phone. The price was reasonable and I'm very satisfied with the quality of the Moto G 5 plus. It's also unlocked, so I can easily switch cell phone providers, if I choose to.

This is by far the fastest phone I've ever owned. I bought it because it has 4GB of ram and a good 8 core processor and it's lightning fast even after all the apps I've put on it. The only thing I was disappointed in was the US version of this phone does not have NFC, hence the 4 stars.

The Moto G5plus loads everything quickly. The screen is bright, sharp, and clear. No problem multitasking with the 4GB RAM. The battery life is amazing, used to recharging daily or before, but have been lasting 2 days plus and still > 20% left when I do recharge.

The phone is great for it's price. It runs smoothly, takes decent photos, and Moto adds some neat gestures that make it simple to do common tasks. My only complaint is lack of NFC, so it is not possible use the phone to pay at stores with Google Pay.
