Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the Moto G Plus (5th Gen) for its affordability, especially during the holiday season. They are also impressed with the camera quality and the excellent battery life. The phone's storage capacity and unlocked status are also well-received. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the lack of NFC, which limits the use of Android Pay, and the speaker volume, which they find inadequate.

No dual speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Moto G 2nd Gen cell phone had great dual speakers. I didn't notice till I had this phone for a week that it only has one speaker, Big disappointment. Also there is lag time between hitting a number and the sound it makes which sometimes causes it not to go forward to where I'm trying to go.

Great Phone at unexpected price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The thing that makes the Motorola Moto G5 Plus the best budget phone on the planet is that, for the most part, it doesn't feel like one at all. It looks, feels and operates like a much pricier phone, which means that wallet-watchers are getting a great deal for $ spent

Nice phone awful WIFI on G5 series - skip these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't see a year long thread about constant WIFI dropping with over 700 posts on 38 pages on the Lenovo Moto support site. Skip this g5 series - they didn't have any fix to phone after a year of people returning their phones after no fix. They want you to change your router settings even though every other device in your house office works fine. No way to work as you move to places where you don't control router settings. Missed my 14 day return window - will ditch this as soon as finances allow - No more Moto for me. Disappointed - very.

Started off great....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked the phone from the start "BUT" after a month my apps started crashing and not opening. Did a full reset, put a few apps back on the phone and have to power cycle to get them to work. Will not play music from my sd Card. If not for this I would have given it a 5 and rated it better than my Galaxy S5.

Posted .Hi Goingdownhill,
Sorry to hear you had some difficulties with this phone and would be thinking the same way if I had the same thing. Performing a factory reset resolves some issues. You may try checking your music app's settings to check if you can have your SD card as your preferred storage to play music. Let us know back if you still need more assistance.

Phone without basic function working
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please do not purchase this phone, Very basic phone functions are not working in this phone. when I connect head phone, some time call gets disconnected, volume changes automatically and the person on phone will not be able to hear you if you are speaking when you are lying down. I purchased this after reading good review here but it is not up to the mark. Best buy will return till 15 days and moto is refusing to take it back, no support. Moto is not accepting those issues. THE GIST IS DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE.

Posted .Hi MAGR,
I would feel the same way if I experience the same thing. We usually do some troubleshooting steps to figure out the cause. You may try plugging in the headset first before calling someone and see if there are any differences. The volume is normal that it changes when you plug in headphone as it prevents your ear from any damage of hearing a loud sound. You may still be able to use the phone's volume key to increase phone's volume while on headphones. Make sure there's nothing covering the microphone for the other person to hear you. Let us know if this helps. Email us at supportforums@motorola.com for us to know if this helps or not so we would know what to do.

Internet and phone use only
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the unlocked phone from Best Buy for around $250. The battery life is great but the phone could never connect to my Ring doorbell or home security camera system. I took the phone to Boost Mobile, Best Buy and Motorola and they could not fix the problem. I now have to buy another phone because Best Buy won't replace it with a phone that's made for Boost. I will never buy another phone from Best Buy again.

Not recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Moto G phone, and it started working really well, stock android is awesome and features are awesome for the price. My issue is that after two months of usage, I've started noticing issues with Wi-Fi connectivity, not everywhere, but I've seen on forums it's a recurrent issue with this phone, I would guess it's a software problem

Garbage. Can't receive calls after 2.5 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm done with Moto smartphones now that Lenovo is involved. The first one I had six or so years ago was great, the second I retired four months ago was having heat issues (which kills a phone), and this one is absolutely worthless. And I'd thought I'd done my research, but was so wrong. Starting in Dec of '17 several people started having the same problem I have now. People call me, but the call never even shows as missed and if they are lucky, they get tossed right to voicemail. Even more fun: it never alerts me to new voicemail, ever. At first I blamed the service provider, assuming that the MVNO I was on was overloaded and I was de-prioritized. (Reading up now, the other who had the issue were on the main carrier though). The service provider had me try many things, which fixed it for 12-24 hrs. Then I called Motorola. They had me clear the cache - same 12-24 hour fix. Next they had me wipe it and now it's stuck in a boot loop. Motorola is sending me a new one, but everyone else who got a new one said it didn't help. It seems like they all have either a software issue or a component flaw that's gone unaddressed for several months. Never again!

Do not buy, $400 down the drain.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is %100 pure trash. Sluggish, flimsy, no frills and annoying. Has alot of annoying features, one example is when you open up the settings menu at the top is shows 3/4 of the screen of suggestions that really isnt a suggestion its more wanting to force you into using a few features that are worthless but Motorola needs you to turn them on to somehow validate thier existence. If that not enough when of if you do find the setting you want its poorly placed. I have the 4g ram version and somehow the phone still is pathetically slow. Sad construction, because the phone is such a pile of garbage you'll be inclined to throw it......often. Beware its not a real metal cased phone and if you sneeze on the screen the glass will break. Ive had several phones for under half the price of this that were better in every way.

NOT ON VERIZON
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the phone after it said it worked on Verizon, however when I called in they said it cannot be activated on Verizon. Just in case they were wrong, I also brought it into a Verizon store and they also looked up the phone and they said the same thing. So, don't buy this phone for use on Verizon.
