NO way battery lasts that long

Just got this phone yesterday 100% charged from four o'clock when I got the phone to 10 p.m. that night it went to 47% and I was just goofing with the phone to get familiar with it. Today in the morning it was fully charged start using it around 9 a.m. just checking Google checking mail no heavy gaming, its 8:04 and just say medium use again I'm at 47% and its 8 at night this phone no way does anything for 3 days. I have nothing running in the background everything is off and it says that nothing is draining the battery so why is the battery dead in such a short time. Before I had this phone I had a e5 absolutely loved it but it had its problems I would only get a call for about five minutes I will get this connected the earpiece got super hot. And I was told that it was from heavy use know it wasn't Motorola just cannot get it right and all these other reviews or no way for real. Screen size is good that's really all I can say about this phone I got it at Best buy and of course if I bring it back with a restocking fee. I'm sure I will hate this phone for as long as it works I'm sure it's not going to work for long.
