Customers are saying

Customers commend the N300 Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem for its ease of use, strong performance, and affordable price. Many appreciate the compatibility with major internet providers and the generally reliable setup process. However, some users report occasional WiFi connectivity issues and inconsistent signal strength in certain areas. The product's range and connection stability appear to be the main points of concern for some customers.

I bought this thinking id save some money off renting a box. Unfortunately the reverse is true and after numerous issues I have decided to buy another different cable modem. At first the only but significant issue was the wifi speeds were topping out at 20mbs when the wired speeds were 150mbs . After a lot of wasted time and trouble shooting I opted to turn off the modems wifi and buy a separate router which boosted the speeds up to what they shoudl have been all along. Then I noticed the speeds were down again after a few months and after more trouble shooting, the cable co isolated the issue to the cable modem itself (note both wired and wifi speeds were maxing at 25mbs). I am giving up on this equipment and buying another cable modem of a different maker with hope that it will be better than this.

Does NOT work with triple play

Look at the back of the unit, there is NO phone jack. Called Motorola and they said that this is not the right unit for triple play from Comcast. Not sure why other people are saying that it will work with the triple play when it will not. Like I said, look at the back side of the unit

    bad choice

Worked very well for a week or so. Wifi started dropping in and out. Needed to reboot often. All devices hardwired to LAN ports never had problems and always performed very well. After several weeks of frustration I purchased a NetGear AC1750 wireless router and am using the Motorola as a modem with the Wifi turned off. We are running 9 wireless devices and things seem perfect with our current setup. The Motorola MG7310 is great as a modem but as a wireless gateway it sucks.

I have had this over 1 year and it still cuts out all the time at least once daily. Who ever said the new firmware is updated and works is not telling the truth. Not worth the time or money
