    Love the plus membership, but can't justify the ne

    Membership is a good value at the plus level, but not worth it to me for the hire level. I break even when buying a warranty for appliances through Best Buy or other stores if I go with a 5 year plan. The membership lets you do 2 on everything you buy with no extra expense. If you're planning to buy a lot from Best Buy then the upgraded plan is worth it.

    I thought I would get notified or have my chances increased with getting merchandise but I’m not completely sure what makes this a plus membership

    Worth it if you know you'll use it.

    Worth the price. Just make sure to get it if you know you'll use it. I got it because I bought a TV and was going to have Best Buy hang it on the wall and hook up my surround sound. So the membership worked great there.

    I don't really see the value of this on a year round basis and will be cancelling soon. The fact that it automatically renews on my credit card makes me shy away from it as well. If I were going to purchase a lot of electronics over the next year or two, I would perhaps consider its perks. But, since I'm not, I don't feel it makes a lot of sense.

    I've been BestBuy member for many many years. This program is a great value. Rewards come up fast and they have a great range of products - I've purchased appliances, laptops, TV's and everything else in between. BestBuy is always my first option for electronics purchases.

    This membership got $50 off of a new Google Pixel phone, thus offsetting the yearly charge for the membership itself. As an electronics geek it was a no brainer to hopefully see more, better deals, but it really hasn't come to fruition yet. If it is free, try a year, 1 good deal will make it worth it. Just don't expect the deals to come flying at your face I guess.

    Failure to execute on installation

    I bought 9 tvs to be installed in my new home. Best Buy gave me a delivery and installation date 30 days out. The tvs were delivered on that day but no installation. Installation person called me on that day they were to be installed and said he could not install the tvs as his work load was already too much. He said i needed to reschedule. Then Best Buy called me to reschedule in 10 more days. I told them no as I could no longer trust them. i hired another service that came the following day. According to those i spoke to said their company has taken their eye off the business and has many problems. I suffered greatly on this one due to Best Buy’s inability to execute. I had other contractors waiting that day to finish other work after Best Buy installed. An expensive day for me. Never ever again will I have anything to do with this company.

    The unlimited Geek Squad support is a real value and it gives me peace of mind. I also appreciate the fact that we can have special prices and discounts. Overall, I have always been happy with Best Buy offers, service and the fact that the personnels is very well trined and friendly.

    This happened about three months ago. I contacted customer care to ask if I could get a refund or price adjustment since the product’s price dropped to nearly half within a month of my purchase. However, I received inconsistent information from different associates — one told me to visit the store to have the product rebilled, while another said it was ineligible for any refund. Their instructions were unclear and very frustrating.
