Fresh out of the box: Dead

It's simple. After my son unwrapped his gift which was my Kindlefire>now His*, my daughter unwrapped her gift. Opened the box, turned on the Nabi and it was dead. OK, no worries- we'll just charge it. 4 hours later I turned it on and it stayed black with white DreamWorks title on screen permanently! I Turned it on and off, let it charge a few hrs more and the same thing over and over. In other words, the Operating System Failed!! Defective Nabi upon arrival. That's it. Sad faced daugher. All Christmas sales are up and gone. Now I have to wait till another sale if it ever comes to buy another tablet. Till then the kids will have to fight over the one. Bestbuy gave me no problem for the return but unfortunately I missed out on not buying the AmazonFire when it was $50 (cheaper that this Nabi), now it's 100+.

It charged overnight. I unplugged it at about 7am. When my son got it out to play with it around 10am it was already almost dead. Wish I returned it.
