    It worked best the first I used it. Then it was bricked with an error code the next time I went to use it. Customer serviced wasn’t real responsive. They now want me to ship it back to them for repair.

    The Neeto vac has broken in less than 2 years of use. I took it to a repair shop and was told it would cost almost as much to fix as we paid for it. I would not buy this brand again.

    Used about 10 times in the whole year. The first 3 times it worked fine, but after that it started doing inadequate moves and things. Getting stuck on a flat surface, bumping walls. Do not buy.

    Horrible service from Best Buy

    I bought the vacuum on sale and was sent a used vacuum, box open and not all items included. Wanted to exchange for a new one and Best Buy made it almost impossible to do an exchange...only in store and only if they had in stock a like product which no store had. Was told I could return by mail and get an exchange and now am told warehouse can only process a refund so I would need to repurchase and of course the product is not on sale now. Never will deal with this situation again.

    I have had this botvac for 30 days and the battery is no longer working. I have contacted them twice and should be getting a new charging mount. I'm not an expert with these machines so I'm taking their word for it, but the issue seems to be with the botvac itself and not the charging unit. I really expected something that costs as much as it did to perform better. To top it off, I really don't know that thing thing has ever even cleaned our whole house (1,700 sqft) without me manually having to send it off to clean and picking it up and moving it throughout the house.

    Hangs up on furniture, tries to climb walls and stairs, never finishes a 12x14 room let alone the entire area. Returning for refund tomorrow.

    This is the 3rd Neato I have purchased and I've very unhappy with the customer service. I had my last one replaced because the brush stopped spinning and the new one won't connect to the Wi-Fi so I can't run it with my phone and Neato is saying it's my Wi-Fi and not there Botvac that is having the issues. So why did your last Botvac work fine on my network yet this one won't? Everything else in my house is still working without issues, it's not my Wi-Fi that's the issue it's their Botvac.

    Didn’t realize it didn’t hook up to Google or Alexa. My daughter had to help me set it up had a hard time getting it to hook up to the Internet she started it going I was walking through blobs of water going what the heck is this it would not dock itself battery rams low. Supposed to come with extra mopping pads did not came with for breeze so allergic to for breeze

    the battery died quickl. Misses spots and misses to pick up "garbage" from the floor. To expensive for the poor quality!

    Got my little botvac "r2d2" for Christmas. Super easy to use and does an amazing job of navigating and cleaning my house! It didn't make it back to the home base the first 2 times, but I figured out that it was because I nudged it off course during cleaning. If I leave it alone, it makes it back every time. I have a complicated floorplan which has not presented an issue for Neato. It fits under nearly all of my furniture and vacuums mats, rugs and carpets without issue. The first time I used it, I had just cleaned my floors with a regular vacuum the day before. It picked up a substantial amount of dust and debris even after my standard vac! I am super impressed. I can set it to work via cell phone and so far, it has never gotten into a place it couldn't get out of. If the charge runs out before r2d2 is done, it goes back to the base, recharges, and resumes where it left off. I don't have to do a thing! I recommend watching the Neato (or any botvac) the first time or two to see where problems areas might be. It may be as simple as tying back a drape or moving a chair to maximize Neato's effectiveness. Make any necessary adjustments; then, set it and forget it. Can't say enough good things about it. I love my Neato!

    Great robot vacuum

    I got one of these for my mom for her birthday. Months leading up to her birthday I did extensive research between the Neatos and the Roombas trying to figure out which would be best, ultimately I was steered towards the Neato because of the features it had. Setup was pretty easy, I heard it could be nightmarish to set up with a home network, but using the app was pretty straightforward and ended up taking around 4 minutes to complete. The fact that it laser scans the house to develop a proper cleaning pattern is something I really liked the sound of, and after seeing it in action I'm glad I went with the Neato. The robot is very methodical in its cleaning; cleaning the edges of a room and then slowly working its way into the center. It cleans up a lot too, my mom and I were both shocked when the robot asked for assistance emptying out it's dust bin in the middle of cleaning, and then seeing the sheer amount of dust and dirt and pet hair the robot picked up. The filter was easy to clean out as well. Despite some of the reviews talking about how loud it was, on its Turbo mode it was no louder than my mom's Dyson vacuum cleaner, in fact it was a little bit quieter. The ECO mode is even more quiet than the Turbo mode, and you tend to forget the Neato is running while it cleans. The companion app is absolutely great. I've been able to see the Neato's progress at work, as well as get updates on whether or not the Neato gets stuck or not. What's really neat is the Neato shows a map of where it's located if it does get stuck. The Neato is a little gung-ho about cleaning and can get stuck on things like shoes, and even after moving it away from the place it gets stuck, it tries to clean that area again, so using the magnetic strips is a must. I also really recommend being present for its first cleaning so that you can know immediately if you're going to have any problem areas in your house that you'll need to make robot friendly. Watching it clean is a lot of fun, seeing it navigate with ease around the house and finding its way back to its charging station is a treat and captivated my family when we first set it up. Overall I'm very impressed with the robot and extremely satisfied with this purchase. I know if a customer does stop me to ask my opinion on robot vacuums, I'll recommend the Neato family each and every time.

    Awesome, much better than round competitor

    This is my first Neato , I've always gone with the competition. I was about to do the same and compared the 2 flagship models. I chose Neato due to the shape, the mapping, and cleaning patterns. I was not disappointed! This is by far the smartest and most powerful robotic vac I've had, and I've had many. This runs on a high pile rig that the competition sensed as a wall and wouldn't even go on the wrong. I like that you don't have to worry about pet dishes etc- it just goes around them without spilling even the water dish. I had no problems with connection. As one member stated the black gloss does catch finger prints but in trade the mat black doesn't seem to scratch when hitting or getting stuck- not that mine had. My old bot is all scratched up because it wasn't smart enough to navigate the objects. The gloss looks good to, in my opinion I'll take the extra minute to wipe it since it did save me 5-10 of house work. The replacement filters and brushes are also very reasonable. I'm not noticing the dust bin door issue mentioned. As far as build I always take a warranty with squaretrade just incase. Over all love it, doesn't even scare the cat!

    It does not clean next to area rugs very well at all. It gets stuck everywhere.

Neato will have difficulty with thick shag rugs or carpet – we recommend that carpet and rug fibers be 15mm / 0.6 in or less. Neato may also have trouble with carpet made of synthetic fiber, even if it is 15mm/ 0.6 in or less.

    Not a smart vac

    Almost a year since I bought it... It didn't get smarter and keeps getting lost in the same house... Even forgets the location of the charging station... Emails to customer support didn't do jack, they just blame evrything on user.... If I knew I would have never wasted my money on it...

    Suction good but get stuck and lost

    I studied up on Consumer Report and BestBuy consumer rating before I purchased. I was excited about get it for the pet hair. It did a great job with the suction and the app was ease to d/l and use. The problems I experience it was it could never find it was back to docking station and got lost a lot. The biggest issues was it was too tall & get stuck underneath the couch. I set it to run at night but I would find it in the morning not docked but stuck under furniture that was of normal height. The vacuum is 4inch tall so I am going to now try something shorter like 3.5inch. If the top was flush it would have clear the couch. The camera mount on top of it really is all the clearance it needed. It you have a lose furniture clearance I would not recommend but it your furniture is >4inches, it would be a good choice.

    Bought new in Dec...could not get robot to turn on. Worked with a very slow and unresponsive customer service dept...three weeks and a replacement part later...it went back to Best buy. Never worked.
