Does not get all the dust and garbage off floor. Still have to sweep afterwards.

I like my Neato, but sometimes I have to figure out why it will not work and I am not tech savvy.

Best robot vac on the market and I’ve had several of them before.

We named him Mars and he is doing a great job keeping thecoderschool-North Shore clean.

The battery life is terrible and it wouldnt recharge once put back on the base. Returning and exchanging for something else.

I had an older Neato and this one is an upgrade. Love it!

I have EXCELLENT wifi in my home. It's a small-business grade setup using Ubiquiti hardware, with separate networks set up for 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. I spent 45 minutes trying to get the Neato D4 Connected to see my wifi, and while it picked up my neighbors across the street, it wouldn't pick up my Ubiquiti hotspot 8 feed away. I understand it's a 2.4ghz device, and considering that the 2.4ghz band is better for distance and in most cases, that makes sense. However, I feel this device could stand an upgrade to the wifi hardware to make it compatible with newer setups. I'm going to be returning the robovac this evening.

My 1 year review: Horrible experience. Worked great for the 1st 4 months and began having constant problems. It never stays connected to wifi, customer support is non-existent, and the brush had to be replaced twice in the 1st 4 months due to the assembly jamming up. At around 6 months the latch on the bin broke and would not allow it to run. Neato was not any help. I ordered a replacement and had a local vacuum repair shop fix it. 2 months later the laser mechanism quit working and Neato still would not cover the appliance without me paying to have a tech fix it. I just ordered a replacement and fixed it myself. I would not recommend.

I should have been skeptical when Best Buy cut the sell price by a few hundred bucks (instead of pulling it like they should) but I rolled the dice. After initial setup this thing has gone around a small room counter-clockwise in the exact same pattern and gets stuck under every single piece of furniture I have in the room, courtesy of the antenna disc on the top of it. Horrible design, and after at least 20 times getting stuck under the EXACT same pieces of furniture over and over again and watching the thing never once actually clean a single spot on the floor other than the perimeter I called time of death... Best Buy will have this worthless item back at their store first thing tomorrow.

They got the name right, this thing is pretty neat. It's also entertaining to watch it bump and bounce as it moves around my house. It actually does a really great job of sucking up dirt and dust bunnies etc... The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are because it doesn't clean very close to the walls and it cuts corners... it also doesn't go over the divider between my dining room and my kitchen where the floor changes from hardwood to tiles, the divider is just a bit to tall. It does go over the divider to the bathroom which is slightly lower however. I have had to rescue it a couple of times... once it got stuck between the bed leg and the wall and was bouncing back and forth and beeping, the other time it wasn't even stuck it was just having a seizure and bouncing back and forth really quickly. Both times I picked it up and put it back on it's charging base and it seemed to work fine after I restarted the cleaning cycle. Another reason I only give it 4 stars is because before I run it I have to run around my house and raise up the curtains, lift all cords up off the floor, move my stools into the kitchen, move my dining room chairs, move 2 fans, and my desk fan. By the time I move everything and then put it back later, I feel like just a bit more effort and I could have just vacuumed the house myself.
