    So one of the big features of the newer robot vacuums is the ability to be connected. The D4 fails at this horribly for iOS You know, to let you set scheduled cleanings, modify the room maps, send error messages when it gets stuck, and the like. I mean the D4 is a “Botvac Connected” I attempted numerous times to connected the D4 to the iOS app (iOS14) Each and every time it fails The iOS app has not had an update in over 9 months - see the last 9 months of almost entirely 1 star reviews for the app If you want a robot vacuum to be connected, do not get the D4 or any of the Neato products - their app is terrible and unsupported for iOS

    I bought this for my mom-I already have one. She thought she didn't want or need this but now, she's sorry she waited. Neato helps me keep the surface dirt down, I run it every day. We have 2 dogs & 2 cats, lots of hair and neato does it all!

    I was about to buy my third roomba but the sales clerk talked me into this Neato and wow am I glad she did. This unit grabs more dust and dirt than my old roomba and does a better job of remembering the rooms it is like the Rainman how well it remembers could not recommend it highly enough!

    I have been using a Neato Botvac 75 for more than 5 years, but it was starting to have some issues (broken sensor that I broke when replacing a belt), so I decided to upgrade and got this Botvac D4 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum. What a big mistake this has been. First of all, the quality of the robot is obviously diminished. You can feel it in the weight and feel of the body. They have certainly made it lighter, and mine is showing scuff marks from contacts with furniture after only a couple of cycles of operation, while my previous robot still looks clean and unblemished after years of hard work. Second, if it looses connectivity to WiFi, the D-4 stops working. You cannot simply program it and leave it to do its work for days on end. I had difficulty connecting it to WiFi from the very beginning, but was able to connect after many attempts. I live in a small apartment and have excellent WiFi reception throughout for my iPad, cell phones, X-box, etc. The charging station was in line of site with the WiFi router so there should not have been any issue. However, I would get the robot working and it would work for two or three days, and then it would stop working. It would indicate that it wasn't connected. So I would go through the entire process again and reconnect, and it would work for two or three days and then quit. I called the help line, and after a couple of hours going through various steps I was told that my WiFi was the problem. However, I attempted connecting through alternate hotspot WiFi immediately next to the robot and it couldn't connect. Everything else works. And frankly, I don't understand why it should need WiFi once the program is set up to continue working. I tried doing a hard reset, and now it cannot see any WiFi networks at all and is basically an expensive brick. I'm working on trying to get warranty coverage, but they make you jump through a lot of hoops. I wish I had reviewed Best Buy's return policies more closely before I had purchased as well. The return policies are awful now. I think next time, I'll just buy online since there is no real benefit from buying it from the store since you only have 2 weeks to return it. With my busy schedule, I hadn't even had a chance to unbox it before the return period was over. Certainly don't wait to test something out if you are buying from Best Buy. Honestly, at this point, I think I will pay the $150 or so that it will cost to get my old Botvac 75 refurbished, and go back to using that. And I won't be buying anything new from Best Buy again anytime soon.

    Here's my issues: 1. The app is old, hasn't been updated since 2019 2. The robot requires allot of babysitting and gets stuck in the randomest of places. 3. The dust bin is built really poorly along with the filter. Its a pain to clean. 4. The battery life is nowhere near as long as they claim. 5. Their support on their website if you need it is terrible. 6. No support for multiroom/selecting a single spot to clean only option is to clean the WHOLE AREA. 7. Robot gets messed up?.. won't dock itself you have to take it back to the dock. There's far more problems I can probably go on about. My old robot a ecovacs debot didn't have any issues.

    This is my 3rd Neato and this is the quietest one I've had! The Neato brand has been great to me. I have a German Shepherd, thus lots of fur. I don't have it hooked up to the wi-fi yet, but it seems like a nice feature! Overall great product!

    Had to return it. Live in a two story condo. Would carry it upstairs but it would not clean. Learned I would need two charge bases. Charge base is not cheap. Went with another brand which did not need two charging bases.

    Had high hopes on this vaccum cleaner and it delivered. Due to its shape it can reach to the corners and clean well. Though the concern of short battery life, it picks from where it left so it's not a big deal!!

    Set up wifi and tried vacuum out before taking the time to set up the keep out areas. I was impressed by how well the device worked and the cleaning action. It also connected seamlessly with my Alexa

    I also own a roomba 960 and I like this one better, super powerful and smart. does not bump hard and you can program lines etc. I have a dog that sheds and this one runs every day keeping the house clean.
