I absolutely love this product. It cleans my house everyday and does an amazing job. The bin is always full of hair and dirt even after running everyday. I wanted to see how the cleaning performance was on the unit so I let it clean all of the carpeted rooms in my house, then after I vacuumed the rooms with my Dyson DC 65 and no hair was in the bin. Maybe just a little dirt. But its amazing how powerful this robot vacuum is. If your skeptical about buying one, don't be. This robot vacuum is amazing and it won't disappoint.

I have the iLife V5 and it works good but uses the random pattern and keeps going until the battery is starting to die then returns home to charge. Unlike this one that will clean a room and once it is done then it will return to doc. Using the device on Android needs real work. Most of the time it says Robot Disconnected. Using my wife's iPhone it works all the time. This version of the Robot does not show the map of where it's been which I wish it would have had this option.

Neato does a pretty good job of cleaning. Initial setup was not too hard. The rating is reduced because Neato continues to become disconnected and I have to go through the whole process to set it up again and again. Very, very frustrating!

Husband got this for me as a gift. I kind of turned up my nose and said I didn’t think I’d like or use it. Boy was I wrong! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this robot vacuum!!! Easiest job I do all week, using it between my every other week housekeeper visit is excellent for a quick pick-up. It’s smarter than the Roomba and more thorough, too! I give it 5 stars and thinking about getting one for the office. ;)

We started off with a bObiPet, as it had great reviews for cleaning up pet hair. We were very unhappy with the bObi getting stuck and not cleaning the entire house, so we exchanged it for the Neato D5 Connected. We love our Neato. It virtually never gets stuck, and cleans the entire house with no problems. The Neato is a louder than the bObi, but who cares about a couple dB when it actually does what its supposed to!

It does an amazing job. I easily programmed it to run 2 days a week. The app is very helpful and intuitive. I also connected the botvac to Alexa so I can start/stop it through Alexa. Each time it cleans, I'm amazed at how much dust and dirt it will pick up. At first it made me think that I lived in filth. The D5 worked best for my house because of the battery life during cleaning.

So it's been 4 units and as much as I want to love this unit we had to part ways for many reasons and go with the competitor. For one let's point out design flaws -The dust bin needs to be locked down, not resting. -the unit still continues to drop off the network -we have had to return 4 units in total. -unit is actually loud compared to another brand The good design -the D shape seems to allow for better corner cleaning. Customer service: Horrid So at first I tried to do the email support, send a few friendly emails stating my troubles with this last unit because we really wanted to believe Neato was a great product and wanted to still give them another chance (would be 5th unit). This last one the main board aparently died. So after sending the friendly emails we recieved an email stating that support would call us in 48 hours. Well, a week went by and nothing. So I had to call. That took me two times as the first time the call was "disconnected". So I am getting really frustrated but let me tell you the whole time I remained calm and friendly, not yelling or swearing, but did voice my concern over the product and the ammount of money wasted on extra filters and brushes that we are now stuck with. This is because after the final call for support we did get someone who seemed to want to help. I tried to explain to him that we had 4 units in two years that died. We spent enough money on Best Buy coverage to almost buy a second unit. And he kinda brushed right by that. The unit was stated to have a bad main board and would have to be shipped in for repairs, or he said we would see what happens. No idea what that means... I decided to chalk up my losses and return this unit to Best Buy as I didn't want to void the extra coverage that we purchased with Best Buy and started to doubt the quality of Neato products. I mean if we got it back fixed.. how long till it breaks? Some background on us, we have it unit running on about 900 SqFeet, 3 times a week with mostly hardwood floors. The unit finishes easily without having to re-charge. We have 1 dog with short hair. Not asking allot out of the unit and I have been told that it should handle that without a problem. So I just want the buyer to beware. I am happy that some have had great luck with the unit, wish we could have been lucky.

This product is junk. I had an old Neato XV-21 that lasted a few years, had to replace batteries but other than that the product lasted. I decided to go with Neato again because I had a Roomba as well and the circular shape and odd patterns were very strange. I have had the D5 for just over a month now and the unit is broken. The bot travels out 1 foot and receives an error,. I troubleshot the problem on the phone with Neato support. They had me clean lasers with cuetips and compressed air, something I never had to do over years with the old XV. Still no luck, they told me they will warranty the unit and to send it back. Neato support does not ship you a box to return the unit, nor do they ship a new unit to you until they receive the defective unit. It's a very poor quality product that does not last more than a month, and the warranty process makes it very difficult and cumbersome, as you need to spend time at a UPS store and spend money on packaging for the unit. In regards to the actual operation when it is working for the first month; it does a decent job cleaning but gets stuck often and requires interaction often. We have all hardwood floors with one carpeted room, small 700sq ft home, and the bot goes out every morning. Almost every day I come home to the bot being stuck on nothing and for no reason, other than it needs me to pick it up, put it down, and press the button for it to continue. I was super excited about the D5 and was awaiting it's release for months. The large dirt bin, side brush, and high capacity battery, along with cleaning statistics is what sold me over any other bot. However, if one month is all I get for $600, then I would indeed consider the product; junk.

I am more than happy with my Neato after having it for a little over two months. It's floor plan usage to map out your house and make a faster and better sweep is outstanding. The filter and bin are easy to remove and clean, and it does an excellent job of getting under objects and overall cleaning.

I haven't had this product long but so far no regrets. I have a dog, a long haired cat and two teenage boys and this product really helps with the floor care. I come home from work and there is no animal hair anywhere. The vacuum gets under my couch and entertainment center perfectly. The only downside I've seen so far is if I don't use it everyday then the canister isn't big enough to pickup all the hair. My cat sheds like crazy

My mother wanted this so our family bought it for her. She loves the way that it vacuums in a grid pattern. Nothing gets missed. Superior robot vacuum in our opinion. Does all the work in an hour. It isn't as loud as a conventional vacuum so the dog doesn't object either.

Never thought I would buy one of these things but after owning one I see the advantage of coming home to clean floors and save so much time! It does an awesome job of cleaning the floors as good as our Dyson vacuum and all I do it push a button!

This vacuum works far better than I expected. It's fairly quick and doesn't even stop me from watching TV when it's working in the same room since it is not very loud. It took about 5 minutes to set up, with downloading the App and setting up WIFI. The first time cleaning, it ran out of power before it could make its way "home". I had to carry it back and recharge it. However, the second time and every other time it has completed cleaning and then self docked. Make sure your floor doesn't have cords or string or other things which can get tangled in its brush. Other than that, it will go around books and shoes and luggage--really a very smart robot. It picks up a LOT of my cat's fur, and I'm happy about that. It effortlessly transitions between carpet and hardwood floor--without a hitch. The house looks much better and it's so easy!

I had one of the original Neato robots. It still works even though it has none of the WiFi features and the screen no longer works. I have to say that the new one is not what I was expecting. The first D5 I had I exchanged because it would start cleaning and within 2 minutes would stop, reboot and just sit there. I would have to reset it just to get it to reconnect to WiFi. I have a very robust WiFi network and that was not the issue. The second one does not have the spontaneous reboot issue however it leaves loose crumbs all over even if it goes directly over them and it has a habit of very quickly jumping back every once in awhile. Maybe 5 times per cleaning. Sometimes more. It does it when it is in the center of the room. At first I though it was thinking something was in its path but no. It is pretty violent when it happens. Does not seem normal. It quickly goes in reverse and the whole thing jumps hard enough for the front to come off the ground. It does not seem to affect the tracking so I guess I have to live with it. For this price to have 2 with issues is quite disappointing. The sad thing is I cleaned my dining room with the new one and then with the old one and although the navigation was much better with the new one, the old one got all the crumbs.

I originally bought a Samsung powerbot, buy that thing died on me twice with no warning or reason, so I returned it and went with my original gut instinct, which was to buy this-- and it has been a night and day difference. It's slimmer so it can get into more places, the app is leaps and bounds more superior than Samsung's, and it connects and stays connected better. Only downside is that there is no "return to base" button. You ha e to make it spot clean and home it recognizes where the base is.

This is my third Neato and the best investment! I love Neato’s squared front as it it is able to get into all the corners where husky hair likes to hide. I’ll never go to a different brand :)

We've tried a few of the lower cost units and they just get stuck in random places. This unit has run 20+ times and has not gotten stuck yet. The cleaning quality is pretty high but don't expect that you'll never have to vacuum again because the suction is not as strong as a traditional vacuum. This means that at least carpet will need a weekly vacuum to get the deep down dirt. Since I have wood floors mostly, b they unit does a great job along walls and even gets the corners.

I wanted to get some time with this product before submitting a review. For the first six or so months the Neato unit was very nice to have. It cleaned well and is able to do my whole home without having to empty the dirt bin. After six months it starting having issues. The biggest being I have to reset it every time I want it to clean. It’s torally unresponsive after it goes back to the charging station. There is other issues, but nothing too annoying. I have a schedule set for it to clean two days a week. Worked great until one day it just decided not to follow any orders until I reset it. This is very frustrating as it takes me physically going to reset it every time I want it to clean. I bought a cheaper model Roomba about the same time for a family member and it’s still working like the day I gave it to her.

Our 2nd Neato robo vac. First one is still working after several years. Moved to another location now. On the plus side the wi-fi and app setup went off perfectly which rarely seems to happen with connected appliances. On the down side the vacuum can't deal with a high pile (~2") shag rug so we have to put magnets in around it to keep it from getting stuck. Otherwise these do a great job of picking up the dirt on both hardwood and normal carpet.
