Robot vacuums seemed like a novelty until I talk to a few people who had them the D5 is completely amazing the filter is constantly full of dust and dirt even after I vacuumed my floor with an upright vacuum

I have 2 Neato d5 and have never really had any issues with them. I purchased the first one several years back when it was first released and it has worked flawlessly. Best buy recently had one of these as a deal of the day and I could NOT turn it down.. even though its several years old now.. It cleans very well, easy to maintain, and has decent suction power. I also like the sidebrush, something not all robot vacuums come with. Give it a shot!

Vacuum cleaned well for the first few weeks. Started getting lost in the house , and would get stuck cleaning same spot over and over again . Sensors have to be cleaned to help mitigate this issue . Has definitely been a big help with dog hair though .

Upgraded my D80 to this unit and it works just as well. The wifi capability is cool, but not a hugely compelling value in my opinion.

This is our second Neato. The first one was not the "Connected". The connected is great, I can start the vacuum from anywhere using my phone. It is a great tool for in between deep cleanings. The bot has not gotten stuck or lost, it flawlessly navigates around the furniture and obstacles. I love the fact I can use the map on the app to keep the vacuum from going into certain areas. I would highly recommend this bot vac for anyone looking for one.

Vacuums very well. Occasionally gets stuck underneath chairs. I am glad we bought it.

I first purchased an iRobot and was very disappointed with it. It constantly got “stuck”, cleaned in a haphazard pattern and never found it’ Way back to the base to recharge. After reading numerous reviews, I decided to purchase a Neato connected robotic vacuum. It isn’t perfect...but a huge improvement over Roomba’s iRobot

So we bought this vacuum because we had been thinking about one for a while. We were looking into the Samsung Model but when our local store didn't carry that one we opted for Neato. This vacuum is GREAT! It mapped out the floor plans (up and downstairs) of our house without much effort and now everytime it clean it gets very detailed according to the floor of plan. When it is done it releases a photo of our floor plan and how many square feet was cleaned as well as how long it took. I used to think that I could do a better job with an upright vacuum in half the time but I'm telling you I was wrong. Neato takes about an hour to clean each floor and has an entire dirt bin full after each cleaning. We do have Neato run every day both upstairs and downstairs plus we have a dog and 5 kids and he does a GREAT job. Occasionally the bot will get stuck on things.... for example socks are our nemesis around here but he will send a text to the app saying he's stuck. You can move him and he will pick up where he left off. The Neato vac is quiet too... I have even run him at night when my kids are sleeping IN THEIR ROOMS and they are fine. He leaves awesome carpet lines which I love and saves my family a ton of time. If you are looking for a great robot vac STOP looking, throw this one in your cart and rush ship it! Its phenomenal. I was going to give it 4 stars but after reviewing my feelings of this little guy he deserves all 5 stars! Love it! Oh and one more thing maintenance is a Breeze so you can keep it running for years to come! So happy we made the purchase.

First time Neato got stuck and took a little research to understand how to get restarted properly. Also not able to pair to phone. Once it gets set up works absolutely fabulous. My husband used our dyson regularly but Neato picked up several times the pet hair. Carpet has never looked so clean.

It is so good. I think the shape does a better job of getting along the walls and corners than the round ones would do. Just got hardwood floors in master bedroom and am getting them in whole house to help my breathing. I am running it once a day and feel like it is already helping. It goes over the entire floor two times before it returns to dock. Should be able to do the entire house on one charge.

When I first got this, I loved it. I still do... when it works. I’m about to mail it off a second time for a warranty repair/replacement. The first was due to the charging base failing to work. There was a little loose part inside that somehow broke. I’m about to send it off because the side brush stopped spinning. One thing I love is the nogo lines. But again, I love them when they work. Other times, my robot won’t clean, returns to the dock, and sends me a message that it can’t find the floor plan. Very frustrating! I just want it to do what it says. My first robot vacuum was an iRobot 560. I bought it used off of someone. That thing (whole in need of a little maintence) still works great! I don’t think I’ll be buying from Neato again. This has been a really frustrating experience.

This vacuum is an absolute lifesaver. Every day when I came home I used to have to sweep and vacuum after my dog and cat. This handles stray litter and all pet hair off every type of surface. Dark rugs are no problem. Long fiber rugs are not a problem as long as they are good quality with strong rubber on the bottom. I have to pick up cheap rugs but that's to be expected. I would recommend this for everyone.

With a little 'Setup' and downloading the App to the Smartphone and away you go. Push the Start button on the App and BotVac moves away from the base ands starts mappimg the area, then it gets busy. It moves from area to area, room to room until done. After just a couple days the floors are looking better. Happy Happy Happy.

Nice robot that hugs the corner very well. Sometime robot get stuck in tight spaces and can't find a way out even though there is enough space for it to move around. And the robot seem to be lost. I that case I have to do a reset. Overall it's great. Software need to be updated?

We have owned Neato brand vacuums for the past 4 years or so. We picked neato for their ability to pick up pet hair and get into the corners. Although, we recently had a vacuum break which was covered under GSBT. We purchased the D5 (having to put money out of pocket), thinking it would be an upgrade. It was not. While the D5 does clean well like the other neatos, we consistently have to reset it. It loses connection with our WIFI, even though the older vacuums never did. Not the vacuum only sweeps for maybe 5-10 mins than returns to base. I can't get it to connect back to the wifi to see what error it has since this model has no screen on the vacuum.

Setup was easy and performance was pretty good as well. My expectations for this robot vacuum was for light cleaning between deeper cleanings with a regular vacuum. I'm very impressed with the amount of cat hair this thing pulls out of the carpet regularly. I use the virtual no go feature all the time to control where to clean and it works well. Very happy with this robot and this purchase.
