Dead after two years.

It is marginally better sounding than the smaller nest speaker. On the plus side it far more sensitive at picking up voice commands.

Additionally, the assistant's response time is unacceptably slow, I will retain my Alexa device.

Only significant difference I can tell is less bass and less volume. However it's worth noting the price point, which in comparison to the $400 Google Home Max, is great value.
