So close to being great.

They are exactly what youd expect. Very clear, well designed drivers. Assistant integration is always helpful. Casting audio is a great feature. But, that all changes when you try to pair them in Google Home. They completely lose their minds. Disappear from your account, lose wifi connection, split audio, its endless. If the software was where it should he, they would be perfect. Definitely slip untik Gen2.

Posted .Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Nest Audio, Victor. We’re glad you’re happy with the sound quality and being able to cast audio. That said, we hear your concerns with pairing multiple devices together. Here’s steps to make sure pairing goes as smoothly as possible:
1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Google Nest or Home speaker.
2. Open the Google Home app.
3. Tap Devices.
4. Touch and hold one of the speakers you want to pair.
5. Tap Settings > Audio > Stereo pair > Next.
6. Select 2 devices you'd like to pair > Next.
7. The lights on one of the speakers should start to flash white. Tap Left or Right to match the location of the speaker that blinks > Next.
8. Under "Where is your pair?" choose a room for the stereo pair > Next.
9. Create a name for your stereo pair > Next > Done.

Crisp sound quality

I love the sound quality on this and being able to sync it up with other Nest speakers in the household makes playing music with surround sound next level.

Nest Audio speaker

Keep in mind that this is a small speaker and won't produce the sound of a large home stereo system. However, the google nest audio is a big improvement from the nest mini. When paired with another nest audio speaker it provides very good stereo sound for background music.

Quality Smart Speaker

When they are grouped together the sound is greatly improved and in stereo. It is also a smart speaker so there is no need to have a Google Nest Mini to communicate with your smart switches, etc.

It sounds way better than the Echo Studio which is $100 more! Extreme bass, perfect miss and excellent highs. I can actually hear the vocals in a song, unlike with the Studio, it sounds muffled. I can only imagine what it will sound like when paired with a second speaker for stereo sound! You would think you're listening to a huge sound system! I highly recommend!

I have some of the older nest audio speakers and the overall tone is really nice on this. Please note: I am a musician and an audiophile. I don't like cheap speakers and I tend to be really picky. Would I say this is 100% equal to a more expensive Bose? No. Would I say it sounds really nice and punches out of it's weight class? Absolutely!
