Good idea but fragile

I opened the box and the screen was cracked already. There should also be an option on google assistant for the assitant on your phone to auto disable when using the assistant on the hub.

Posted .Hi momoffour, thanks for reaching out. We´re sorry to hear that the screen for your Nest Hub (2nd Gen) got cracked. We recommend contacting Best Buy for further help with the cracked screen issue.
If you’re near your Nest Hub and mobile phone, only Nest Hub should respond to "Hey Google." Both devices may wake up, but your phone should go back to sleep. To ensure this works for you, we recommend checking the following:
- Update your Google app version. On your phone, open the Google app Search Icon.
At the bottom right of the Home screen, tap More and then Settings and then About. Look for the version number at the top. If your version is below 6.5, go to the Google app page, then tap Update.
- Add the same account to both Nest Hub and your mobile phone. If the phone that responds isn't yours, then these steps won’t fix the issue. If you have multiple Google Accounts, add the account you used to set up Google Home to your phone.

Google smart display

Google assistant is built in in the best UI in the market. The only issue is spotty Internet connectivity in some cases.

A range issue or wireless interference can affect the performance of your display. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. If you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. If your doorbell is mounted too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points.

Resetting Nest Hub may be helpful with the issue. A factory reset will reset your Nest Hub to its default factory settings. To reset, check on the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.

I have a 4 out 5 bc I am unsure how to pair to my tvs to turn on and off. Also the voice control needs turned off if you have the mini hub bc at moments both will not work when speaking to one even if they are in different rooms

Refused to listen to voice commands after 2 months

Coming from Alexa I found the Google Display to be vastly superior in every aspect. However, over the past week, it has stopped being able to listen to any voice commands. Saying there was either "a glitch" and to try again later or that an error occured. I have tried everything I could think of to fix it to no avail. From leaving it unplugged all night to factory resetting the device. Overall, I cant seem to find a home assistant that works for me and the Google Display is no exception.

Ok but not great

Also 5 out of 10 times it says "their is a glitch , please try after few seconds" . This is really irritating. Alexa is faar good in responsiveness.
