I like how big the screen is and how easy it is to manage our other devices off this device. I only wish that I could add a second language for when I want to play music in Spanish easily.

Hi Linda, thanks for sharing your insights with us. We´re glad you liked the big screen for Nest Hub (2nd Gen), and how easy it is to manage your other smart devices. You can change the language of Google Assistant or add an additional language to speak to Assistant in 2 languages. If you add a second language to Google Assistant, it can recognize either of the languages you've chosen. Before you change Google Assistant's language, make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display. To add a second language to Assistant:
      - On your mobile device, open the Google Home app .
      - At the top right, tap your account and then Assistant settings and then Languages Add a language.
      - Choose another language.

Good build quality and does what it says it will. However it's simply a speaker with a screen, and not a tablet with a speaker. Thus I purchased it thinking I could view recipes in the kitchen, but it won't do that. So it has no value to me. Also you need the Max version (with camera) if you want the FaceTime like (Google meets) experience. This one has no camera. I already have several Google speakers and this device really doesn't bring any additional capabilities.

I love that it pulls up my doorbell camera. It also plays music. You can also watch videos. You can also talk through your doorbell camera too. It connects well with all my devices. I can tell it to change my thermostat temperature and i can tell it to turn on my tv and smart lights. Love!

My old viewsonic picture frame with an SD card reader was all I needed to replace. Found out they don’t make them anymore. I got this Google device because it doesn’t have a camera and you can turn the microphone off. It was very hard to set it up at my mom’s care facility which ended up requiring a call to Spectrum tech support and finding the MAC address etc. it was so bad gay my mom was scared of it by the time it was setup. So I brought it home where it was a tad easier to setup. I am glad to have it connected to my G photos account so it has a bigger selection of pictures to shuffle through. I can’t say that it has changed my life but I’m glad of that.

Bought two of these when they on sale for $59, which i think is what they’re really worth. Decent speaker and good smart home hub but its OS is pretty laggy and there’s no camera to enable video features. Still think it is far better than the amazon echo show at similar price point even though the echo has a camera. In my experience so far, google’s assistant is much more helpful and responds to requests for changing temperature and lights than echo or my homepods.

My wife bought the same type of device on Amazon and paid $40. I immediately asked why didn't you go to best buy and spend on a quality device like the Nest Hub? Well we couldn't ever use that cheap device and my wife returned it. Since my wife's birthday was soon I decided to buy this and a Samsung Watch for her. Setup was a breeze but you have to pay attention to the simple instructions. You can sync it with multiple users. IMPORTANT: Download the proper app as instructed. The display and voice recognition is a five star rating. We have it in our kitchen and can verbally set timers, ask for recipes, weather, everything. I can't think outright what this small device can't do. It isn't too big so even small counters could fit this. Go on, you know you want it...

Very solid display. This model is still competitive in 2023 for its size. The intelligent cards are a bonus. It doubles as a desktop Chromecast screen which is helpful.

Still testing, but seems to work great as bedside alarm clock. Fading display is good for sleeping. Excellent sound. Easy to setup. Audio news reports are handy. Sale price made this worthwhile.

So inconspicuous but such nice sound and ease of use. It doesn't take up much space and the display is perfect. This replace an older UBL Google display and it is so nice not to have to yell at it anymore.

Great Photo Display and Smart Switch Operator

This is my second Nest Hub Smart Display. Our first one is in the kitchen, which is central to our living space. We use it there to add items to shopping lists, control smart lights and fans, check the weather, read/watch recipes, and as a photo display. I bought this second one for my office, primarily as a photo display to make me smile when I need a break from work. But I use it frequently to do math calculations, to look up a word definition, and to turn my ceiling fan on and off via smart switch connection. I'm thinking of getting a 3rd unit for our bedroom to use as an alarm, to control music, and (of course) as a photo display

So far, so good. The sleep sensing feature is really nice and seems to be pretty accurate even with a loud fan in the room. My wife and I really like the dimming clock feature of the display when the lights are down. Things do seem a little laggy when changing through the menu, but overall not too bad. When the volume is all the way up at 10 and the bass is cranked to the highest level possible, it will definitely clip, but 10 is also way louder than optimal listening level. However, I do wish the speakers were a little bit bigger/better for an item of this size. Good for casting YouTube videos and the google assistant is very fast. Will be even better once we get more smart items in our home to control with it! Overall a great smart device!

Hello there, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback on Nest Hub (2nd gen). We hear your concerns about its performance and features.

If your Nest display is having a hard time responding to your voice commands, there’s a possibility that the display is having trouble connecting with Google. We suggest the simple steps below:
      - Unplug your Nest Hub and wait for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for the device to reboot, then try to ask the Assistant your question again.
      - Reboot your modem and router.
      - Try to switch between 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHz network to see which band is more reliable
      - If there are nearby devices that may cause interference, such as microwave ovens, wireless speakers, baby monitors, Wi-Fi routers, try to move your display to a different room, or to move it closer to your router.

Also, Retraining your Nest display, to better recognize your voice, and adjusting the Hotword sensitivity may be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps on these help articles:
      - Check which devices are using Voice Match: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7588195
      - Adjust how sensitive Google Assistant is to “Hey Google: https://support.google.com/assistant/answer/9712065
