This product as made my life easier. It's like having an assistant right next to your bed. It tracks everything and provides entertainment. It records my sleep, set's all types of alarms and provides me the weather just before heading out. It'll even tell me a joke if I ask. However, if you want chills...ask it if it works for the CIA.

We started our smart home journey when we learned that our new home security/monitor system works with Google Nest. We literally have 4 of these thing for different rooms. Only recently discovered our climate control works with it too and its not even a Google Nest Thermostat. We find the whole system useful but we are still building and having fun at the same time.

Got it set up as my alarm clock. I struggle to wake up but due to the fact i can play my spotify playlist on this that wont be a issue anymore. Im also impressed by how this lets me watch Disney+ and other streaming services directly off it.

We absolutely love it, it helps so much in the kitchen!! Listening to music, watching stuff, asking questions, and broadcasting are what we use it for all the time and we just have no complaints!

Works well in my basement, I really only use it to turn the lights on and listen to music so haven't really dove into the tech portions of it.

Love the large screen and sound quality. Definitely buying more for around the house.

The Google home pod exceeds my expectations. It has a large screen, which clearly displays the time and shows everything you google. It is easy to setup and use. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Like the title says, this is a solid smart home hub that seems to be regularly on sale around the $70 mark. The screen is vibrant and responsive to touch. The microphone does a good job picking up a voice from across the room, but sometimes it's a bit lacking in correctly understanding you. I bought this mostly as a white noise machine (via YouTube Music Premium), and it has served me well in that regard. I will say though that the sleep sensing feature isn't all that helpful IMO. Sure, it was very eye-opening to see a graph of just how much I snore through the night, but there's definitely discrepancies with when it detects awake vs. sleep. It's a neat gimmick, but not a feature I'd pay to use (which is apparently going behind a pay wall in 2024).

I bought this on sale to give it a try to help with everything I have in my house automation. Already having items like the Nest Doorbell Cam, it made sense to stay in the Google ecosystem. The screen is small, but it makes these perfect for a bedroom nightstand. The sleep statistics, while I'm not sure how accurate they are, is neat to look at in the morning. I'd recommend grabbing one of these if you've been considering it.

Great little smart hub. Use it as my alarm clock (a bit overkill). Above average speakers and can connect to the other smart things in your house so you can everything from your bed.

Does not have a camera, which is great since it is placed in my bedroom. Does not take up a lot of space. Was able to pair it to my pixel phone. Use it to listen to audiobooks when paired to my phone.

Love this so much. Easy set up and I have the larger one in my kitchen and these small ones in the bedrooms…..Weather, info, music, alarm ….works great with smart plugs and other things….

Got for my dad at Christmas. Trying to keep him up the technology. He doesnt seem to have any issues, easy to use and the display is nice.

Our nest hub is great for looking up recipes and even throwing on a show for background while cooking or doing dishes. One trick is that it acts like a laptop with free Spotify, so you can request Spotify to play songs or albums even on the free version. You can’t do that on the other google speakers. Volume is a bit better than the nest mini speakers IMO. Small screen doesn’t feel small, but you won’t exactly be watching a show from the other end of the room. Only downside is they tend to be a bit more finicky than the nest speakers.

State of the art! I recommend this for every family that want to watch there property!

Purchased this hub unit to allow our Google Nest Floodlight to work it so when there's activity in the driveway, we can see it on the hub's screen. I haven't gotten that piece fully working yet, but have integrated the hub to all of the other home automation light and power switches. The screen size is a bit on the smaller size, but it's workable. The sound quality is decent and you have a equalizer function to tune the bass and treble to get the music to be a bit more richer if needed. You can also hook this up to DUO so you can make and receive calls to the unit and use it as a speaker phone for the house. For the money I paid, it's not bad. I just have to get the Nest camera paired to it so we can see the driveway activity. I may need to call Google support to get this done if I can't figure it out soon.

Does what it is intended to do. I've used it for smart lights and music...and the kids play some interactive games and it's a fun little addition to the home.
