The Google Assistant works well, and the price is considered reasonable, with sleep tracking and smart home integration as added bonuses. Nice and big screen, good clarity and brothness is impressive. The only thing I thik google needs to improve on is responce time. Amazon Echos are more fast compare to google nests.

Hello there, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback on Nest Hub (2nd gen). We hear your concerns about its performance and features.

If your Nest display is having a hard time responding to your voice commands, there’s a possibility that the display is having trouble connecting with Google. We suggest the simple steps below:
      - Unplug your Nest Hub and wait for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for the device to reboot, then try to ask the Assistant your question again.
      - Reboot your modem and router.
      - Try to switch between 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHz network to see which band is more reliable
      - If there are nearby devices that may cause interference, such as microwave ovens, wireless speakers, baby monitors, Wi-Fi routers, try to move your display to a different room, or to move it closer to your router.

Also, Retraining your Nest display, to better recognize your voice, and adjusting the Hotword sensitivity may be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps on these help articles:
      - Check which devices are using Voice Match: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7588195
      - Adjust how sensitive Google Assistant is to “Hey Google: https://support.google.com/assistant/answer/9712065

Love it. Much more intelligent than Alexa. Able to make a mistake when pronouncing a command and Google gives much more flexibility opposed to Alexa. I would like Google to tweak there google home app to be a little bit more fluid and centralize all the devices that could connect to it. I’m tech savvy so setup was simple for me but my wife struggles.

My old viewsonic picture frame with an SD card reader was all I needed to replace. Found out they don’t make them anymore. I got this Google device because it doesn’t have a camera and you can turn the microphone off. It was very hard to set it up at my mom’s care facility which ended up requiring a call to Spectrum tech support and finding the MAC address etc. it was so bad gay my mom was scared of it by the time it was setup. So I brought it home where it was a tad easier to setup. I am glad to have it connected to my G photos account so it has a bigger selection of pictures to shuffle through. I can’t say that it has changed my life but I’m glad of that.

It's fine. More or less does what I expected, which is a video version of the google home mini I have. Sometimes, unfortunately, it does not recognize one of the thermostats that it is connected to. Otherwise, it is fine and easy to use. Set up was a slight headache, but I am not technologically proficient so that could be on me. I also got it on Black Friday prices with a store credit. In other words, a great deal for what I paid.

Does not have a camera, which is great since it is placed in my bedroom. Does not take up a lot of space. Was able to pair it to my pixel phone. Use it to listen to audiobooks when paired to my phone.

Great little smart hub. Use it as my alarm clock (a bit overkill). Above average speakers and can connect to the other smart things in your house so you can everything from your bed.

I was given this Google Hub by my hubby so I could keep an eye on the cameras and the weather while I work. I moved to this from an Amazon Show and I really like it. The screen is the perfect size. It's overall footprint is minimal on my desk. It has a ton of features on it and I am sure I am not using most of them.

Got it set up as my alarm clock. I struggle to wake up but due to the fact i can play my spotify playlist on this that wont be a issue anymore. Im also impressed by how this lets me watch Disney+ and other streaming services directly off it.

Very solid display. This model is still competitive in 2023 for its size. The intelligent cards are a bonus. It doubles as a desktop Chromecast screen which is helpful.

Bought two of these when they on sale for $59, which i think is what they’re really worth. Decent speaker and good smart home hub but its OS is pretty laggy and there’s no camera to enable video features. Still think it is far better than the amazon echo show at similar price point even though the echo has a camera. In my experience so far, google’s assistant is much more helpful and responds to requests for changing temperature and lights than echo or my homepods.

    Solid smart home hub

Like the title says, this is a solid smart home hub that seems to be regularly on sale around the $70 mark. The screen is vibrant and responsive to touch. The microphone does a good job picking up a voice from across the room, but sometimes it's a bit lacking in correctly understanding you. I bought this mostly as a white noise machine (via YouTube Music Premium), and it has served me well in that regard. I will say though that the sleep sensing feature isn't all that helpful IMO. Sure, it was very eye-opening to see a graph of just how much I snore through the night, but there's definitely discrepancies with when it detects awake vs. sleep. It's a neat gimmick, but not a feature I'd pay to use (which is apparently going behind a pay wall in 2024).
