Easy to use integration with my Google nest and indoor/outdoor cameras. Love the fact that I can visually see who’s ringing the doorbell as well as watch live footage of the cameras from the convenience of my home.

I did not like the difficulty removing my personal youtube account from the device while i have so many things connected to my google home app. It should not have to be linked to any account. My 6 yo doesnt need to see recommendations for me and I definitely do not want to begin getting recommendations based on his viewing. What I really like best about this assistant is the way it responds to my 6 yo. He will ask question after question and receive a voice/text/pictured response. So, if he asks "what is a waffle?" He will receive a vocal explaination, see the word and description in text, and picture of a waffle.

It provides info and media, the Google assistant is the most helpful of the assistants out there. I highly recommend this inexpensive but high quality assistant device.

Google Home devices have gone downhill

It has completely wild misinterpretations of requests. For example, I'll ask it "Turn off family room TV" and it will respond "Master Bedroom TV is not available". The worst is when I ask it to turn off an outlet I have labeled "Microwave" to child proof a microwave my 2 yo son can reach. I'll say "Turn on Microwave" and it responds with "turning on 7 lights" and proceeds to turn on every smart bulb in the house while most people are trying to sleep. Seriously, you have to annunciate to a ridiculous level, it takes too long to understand, and sometimes just does random stuff that is nothing close to the request. I feel like everything Google makes has just gone downhill the last 2 years. I'll deal with the google crap I have now until it's worth replacing it all with a better brand

We suggest that you retrain your device to better recognize your voice as this may help with voice control. We also suggest adjusting the Hotword sensitivity as it may also be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps below to help improve your experience:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
Change Nest Hub's Hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Hub.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon. - Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Hub more responsive to the Hotword.

I do like the sleep tracking functionality which only this version offers. The main downside is that it is a little sluggish in terms of touchscreen responsiveness. Not a deal breaker but a snappier processor would have been appreciated.
