Doesn't understand much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find that this product, as well as the home mini, are "unable to help" more often than not. I have found that the google app on everyone's phone is much better and faster than these home products.

Not what I expected
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I would give this a try. I did not like it at all after having the Anazon Echo Show. This did not work with all my Ring security. Returned it so I can get the Amazon Echo 5.

No camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase this for video calls, but I didn't realize there wasn't a camera. Competitor options at this price have cameras.

Google home hub not that great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess if you have more home automation it would save you time by not going to all your different apps. We don’t have much home automation so it wasn’t anything Siri couldn’t do. Took it back.

Small screen size and poor sound.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small screen size and poor sound. Also only works with nest cameras. If your a ring customer the amazon show 8 is a better value. Sound much better and works with ring. Don’t get me wrong the Nest hub is well built, but for sound it doesn’t sound any better than the little nest speakers. The Amazon show 8 sounds like a much larger speaker with rich full sound. For music Show 8 is 100 times better than the nest hub.

OK, but not sure what all it can do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was fun for the first few hours, but honestly I'm not sure what the advantage is of paying extra for the screen over the mini. At the moment, all it does is show pics from my Google Photos.

Works with Many Smart Devices but not all
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nest Hub is very good product but doesn't communicate with many Appliances easily available in market. They need to add more smart devices in their Database.

Ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to place in my kitchen. I have Alexa all over the house. It said it would show the ring doorbell but that was false. It's nerve racking to say ok Google. I'll say it's just ok

It's okay but not really worth buying!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly do not think it's worth the buy. I only used mine as an alarm clock!! I have a google dot that works perfectly fine. So, If you have a dot there is no need in buying the Google hub.

Would not stay connected to my router
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This hub was returned because it would not stay connected to the WiFi from about 30 feet away. We might have had a bad unit, but we exchanged it for a echo show which works great.

I don’t get it...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 4 google homes which I use very regularly for my Philips hue system, weather, travel info, random question, etc. etc. I’m a big fan of the system and figured why not upgrade. Well, I don’t get it. To me, the small screen is useless. I also notice it doesn’t hear me as well as all of the other home products I have where I’ll have to repeat myself 2 or 3 times. If you want an assistant and won’t be playing music through it, just wait for the google home mini to go on sale for ~$30 and load up rather than spending $120 on this thing.

hey Google, you’re the coolest!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of every tech gadget that google has released this year, the google home hub is honestly the coolest of the bunch. Possibly the coolest piece of tech in 2018. If you love and use every google service available, it is a must buy, I will definitely be buying another for the house. It makes the google assistant experience so much better. Being able to control your home is even easier with this. It integrates and works with all your existing google home products. There is so many things it can do, too many to list. As a matter of fact there isn’t one thing I haven’t been able to do with it. It plays YouTube videos, YouTube and google music, it streams movies from my play library , it will push media to your chromecast connected tv. It does it all, for such a great price. My favorite feature is using it as a digital photo frame. I have thousands of photos on my google photos library. Being able to see photos that I’d forgotten about and have them cycle through all day is so cool. I can’t say enough about the google home hub, it is jam packed with features and the possibilities are literally endless. I am sure google will continue to add more support and features. As far as build quality, it is very good. The speaker in it is loud and sounds good for its size. It has a propiatery power cable and needs to stay plugged in at all times, it would be even cooler if it had a battery so that it could be more portable, But it boots up quick enough that disconnecting it and moving it to the kitchen or living room or wherever you need it is not a big deal. The display seems low res, 720p at best but it looks great. Videos, movies, information all looks great. This will make a great Christmas gift for anyone of any age. It is so cool!

It's ok
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it enough. It's not as customizable as I'd like. I wish you could control more of this by their app but it's very limited. Not worth the price for me. Stick with Alexa.

Great Kitchen Accessory
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin by saying I'm more of an Apple guy than a Google one. That said, the Google Home Hub makes me a tad jealous that Apple doesn't make a similar device if only for better Apple integration. Google really did a great job with this little device. It sports one of the best looking LCD displays I have seen. Great color and contrast coupled with excellent off axis viewing. It also has a very solid ambient light sensor that does a great job controlling the brightness of the display. The processor seems more than adequate as it transitions screens and voice requests with little pause. The speaker which I had read elsewhere as being disappointing I found to not be remotely the case. It is loud and clear which is precisely what it should be. It displays local weather, calendars, YouTube, news, music (no Apple Music support), and your Google Cloud pictures. It is super handy in the kitchen when looking for recipes. It will serve up both videos and step-by-step cooking instructions which is great. It has all of the power of Google Assistant which frankly is the best in the business for now. The Home Hub also allows smart device control around the house which is convenient as well. I have Hue and Nest equipment in my house and it does a great job of providing an overview of what is going on in my house and allowing a more detailed room-by-room look too. While speakers with Google Assistant can perform many of these functions the visual aspect really adds to the experience. The Home Hub is surprisingly compact and is very well built. Overall fit and finish is great with fabric around the base and great rubber feet to prevent slipping around as you tap on it. Takes up minimal space and looks good in most decor situations. My only real complaint is the inability to expand the applications on the device. There is a ton of potential and I am hopeful Google unleashes it to developers. If you are already entrenched in Google services than this is a no-brainer for the house (especially at this price). If you are like me and find yourself living the Apple life, well, it works great for a more limited set of functions and still can provide real value. All I can say is 'Great job Google!'

Just ok
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it's a nice convenient product to have around, the sound quality is mediocre at best and defaulting to YouTube music isn't ideal.

Posted .Hi Bderidder, thanks for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry that your having trouble with your Nest Hub not hearing your commands well. You might want to check if the “Lower volume when listening” setting is turned on and how sensitive your Nest Hub is to the hotword as this might help fix the issue.

- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your Nest Hub.
- Open the Google Home app
- Tap your Nest Hub and then Settings and then Audio and then turn on Lower volume when listening
Change Nest Hub's hotword sensitivity
- Open your Google Home app
- Select your Nest Hub
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Hub more responsive to the hotword.
