    So the idea is awesome but its just that....an idea. You cant even search youtube videos. You have to say ok google search

    nothing spectacular to be honest. And sometimes I find myself screaming HEEEEYY GOOGLE... Not the best microphones I guess.

    I like the the pics but the speaker is weak and kind of limited to what you can do with it! The wife didn’t like it so I returned it.

    This smart display isn't smart at all. We've got 1st gen mini's, 1st gen Google Home speaker and 2nd gen nest mini's and finally we bought this display. Its absolutely the worst at recognizing our voices of, actually allowing sensitivity setting changes or even of understanding repetative commands, used to actuate smart lights. Don't waste your money.

      Hi DanC, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear of the voice recognition issues that you have with your Nest Hub. We recommend retraining your Nest Hub to better recognize your voice by following this step by step guide:

      Retrain Voice Match

      - On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app
      - At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
      - Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.

      After retraining your Nest Hub to better recognize your voice, you can try to reset your Nest hub and see if this will improve the experience. If the issue is still happening after the reset, you can reach out to our support team here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp Nest

    Can't get to sync to my contacts, doesn't always recognize voices that are synced. Product just doesn't seem to meet expectations.

    The camera is capable of some stuff, however, there are minimal instructions with camera so possibly could do more .

    I got this for Christmas and took my older hub upstairs. I’m finding this one doesn’t have much for a base sound.

    The alex that is cheaper has a camera but this one doesn't. Not worth the price.

    Falls short, limited WiFi range

    THANKFULLY with the bundle discount, this was almost a giveaway and I think I know why. The concept is great, a video hub that I can see and answer the front door bell (Nest Hello) from my family room. While it’s not being used it’s SUPPOSE to be a “digital picture frame”.... this is where this starts to be a disappointment! The Google Home Hub has a VERY limited WiFi range and your need to be within 20 feet of your wireless router for it to work efficiently. This is not possible with where my router is and where this room is and within minutes of set up and picutres scrolling, the screen starts resetting as the hub is looking for a WiFi signal. Thinking this was a bad model, I swapped it out for a new one. Same problem. Contacted Google and they sent me out a third one to try. Same problem. Bought a WiFi extender and it’s about 18 feet way, still the same issue. I have a great router and nothing else has connectivity issues including streaming 4K content so my network and set up isn’t the issue. With that being said, it now sits in the box collecting dust as the only way to resolve the connectivity issue is to unplug to reset the device.

    It’s okay. We ended up returning ours since it’s not compatible with ring anymore and Apple Music.

    I got this for parents to view their Nest cams from their desk. Set up was a disaster. The app (on a brand new, never opened device) crashed 3-5 times before I had to do a hard reset. This didn’t exactly sell the idea that the device was going to streamline or simplify their lives. Had I anticipated these issues I would have never bought the device...

    Basic, doesn’t turn on tv will turn it off and on right after. But won’t for initial use. Speaker is nice

      Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with Google Nest Hub.

      Some TVs may go into standby mode which makes them unresponsive to Google Assistant commands if the TV model does not support "Wake on LAN". We recommend checking with your TV manufacturer if your TV model supports "Wake on LAN".

      If you haven't already, we also recommend performing the following steps:

      - Unplug the TV, wait ten minutes, and plug it back in.
      - If you’ve turned the TV on or off repeatedly during a short period of time, the voice commands may briefly stop working. Please wait about 10 minutes before trying again.
      - Ensure TV is properly linked to Google Home Hub.
      - Reboot the router.

    I liked the small footprint of this device, but after using both of them, I chose the Echo Show over the Google Home Hub.
