Get a smart lock

I know I love having a smart lock. It saves on buying keys, having to be there to let people in, and you ca. Keep track who comes and goes: having a Mary lock rocks

We appreciate your feedback on the Nest x Yale Lock, and we’re sorry to hear it doesn’t work with the app. The first step is to make sure that your border router (Nest Connect) is within range (~50ft direct line of sight) of the Nest x Yale Lock and Wi-Fi router. This range could be shorter if there are potential sources of interference, either physical interference (thickness and type of walls, mirrors, windows, etc.) and competing signals (other wireless devices, baby monitors, microwaves, etc.). If Nest Connect is too far away from your lock, your lock will be offline in the app but Nest Connect will be online. If Nest Connect is too far away from your Wi-Fi router, both Nest Connect and your lock will be offline in the app. Learn how to troubleshoot Nest Connect here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9235363

Love not having my keys with me trying to unlock the door while holding groceries exc. I’ve used the app a few times when i allow someone to come in my house when I’m not there!!

Lock looks great and works pretty well. Love the modern look. Definitely recommend.

My kids and husband always forgets to lock the door, so the automatic lock feature is GREAT! Easy to install just like installing a dead bolt lock

We don’t have many nest products; however, this one was easy to set up and use. We like the conscience of having family come over when we’re not home and don’t have to worry about keys

The only limitation is that it is no unlocked in automatic when you get home.

I returned the first lock after talking to nest & yale who said to exchange it. Got a new one and same problem. I figured I would see if the VPN on my phone had something to do with it. Low and behold, it connected immediately. Works perfect and I love it. So many reviews and forums on this issue but no resolution. Contacted Nest to tell their tech support how I fixed the connection problem so hopefully they will pass it on to other customers who experience the problem. (Error code t013)

It also is a lot more modern than most deadbolt locks.

The distance to the receiver is very sensitive and make it hard to find the right place. Other than that it works every time with no problems.

The second one we ordered was made wrong where the lock was locking in the wrong direction. Yale replaced the lock in a timely manner and the new one is great.

The founder of nest products came from Apple and he improved on the concept, WOW! I really think he engineered the products better. I have the whole catalog of nest products

It was not clear on the box what kind of doors are excluded. Also the sales person apparently didn’t know that either. I showed him pictures of my door

Door Thickness: 1 3/8", 1 3/4", or 2-2 1/4"
Door Material: Wood, metal, or fiberglass
Backset: Less than 2 3/4"
Door Type: Not glass, sliding, mortise, or multi-point.
Please keep in mind that these specifications are listed on the bottom of the box. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

Understandable why but sucks you can't use it with Alexa. Though I'm slowly starting to move my IoT to Google. Being able to make temporary codes or codes for guests is awesome.
