I’ve had this Yale smart lock for a while now and I’m very happy with it. The Nest app is very intuitive and managing users and assigning passcodes is easy. Being able to lock and unlock my door virtually anywhere as long as I have internet connection is the ultimate flex. I mainly use the google home app to control my connected google smart devices in one place and this smart lock complement my smart home setup beautifully. It’s a little bit pricey but it’s worth it.

I wanted a door lock that was compatible with my Nest doorbell and Google nest smart home products. This door lock is compatible. I wish Google Nest made a door lock that had a door knob/lever on it, but they don't. so I passed up other brands that had a one-piece lock/door lever just to have the Nest compatibility. The lock is easy to use and talks to you. I can control it by my phone and hook it up to the Googe Assistant. one difficulty we had was that the lock has to be perfectly lined up to the "hole" in the door frame or the lock won't work. Our installer had to make a lot of adjustments to make it work, because any resistance will not allow you to lock it by your phone. but now that it is installed correctly, it is working well

I *love* the Nest Yale lock. It means that I don't need to carry any house keys any more. And, each family member gets their own pass code. And if you have multiple keypads, then each person's codes work on all of the locks. Plus, temporary codes are awesome. The only slight drawback is that you have to have a hub to connect the lock to the wifi, but that's a security feature, so I can live with one more things plugged in. I've been using these locks for the better part of a year and have had no problems.

Pros/Cons Pros: Easy to install!!! YouTube works wonders Battery Life seems great! Can program multiple codes to get in. Interface to remotely lock and unlock is great. (Once it's set up right...) Fast and simple to get in and out of your home. Cons: Price is too high for it. If it was 100 or 150 I would be ok with it. You need to have a wireless access point or router kinda close to it. For wireless systems to work. (it can still work with no signal) Unlocking the the door with the app alone isn't quick... (You have to be in the app and click on the unlock function.) WANTS FOR THE PRODUCT!!! Lower Price Allow for a setting to be turned on so you can just put your phone up to the device and it auto unlocks for you.

Beautiful design, easy to install and use. I was able to install the unit in about 25 minutes (I already had a deadbolt). The directions were easy to follow and the set up with the app was seamless.

What can I say about this that hasn’t been said already? It’s simply an amazing lock that works and integrates perfectly with my Nest ecosystem. One app controls your door and cam, no need to fuss with multiple apps. One disadvantage I will say is that the Yale X lock does NOT work with Alexa, Siri, etc. If you are looking for smart assistant help, you’ll have to get the standard Yale without Nest integration. For me though, not having that feature is not a big deal as I greatly enjoy the seamless integration. Installation was very very easy and took all about maybe 10 minutes. If you’re the slightest bit handy, you’ll be fine.

I absolutely LOVE my smart lock! I tell everyone who is considering getting a smart lock to opt for this model. It's great that if I forget to lock my door, as soon as it senses my phone is away from the house it automatically locks. You can give access codes as needed and specify the amount of time. This is a great feature for me since I have animals and often have house/dog sitters. You can also see if people try to use their code outside their normal hours. It was easy to install, even with having to drill a larger hole in my door. GREAT GREAT GREAT buy! I'm so glad after all my research I opted for this one!

This is a quality piece of hardware that does exactly what you want it to do. It fits without the need for additional drilling. It comes with multiple mounting options for different doors. Battery powered. Connected to wifi. Just a perfect solution to my lock needs.

While we haven't used this to it's full capacity, thus far installation was simple and it's checking all the "boxes" that we expected (hoped?) it would for our summer home: keyless entry, separate codes for monitoring access, provide temporary access and access on the fly, verification that door is locked/unlocked, etc. Controlled all within the existing Nest app (we also have a Nest doorbell and thermostat). The only disappointment was that a remote sensor plugged into a nearby outlet is necessary for use.

Making my review backwards. Overall, this lock works well for the last half of the day today after installation. I must say that there were set backs that made it difficult and about a few hours to complete and troubleshoot and still has connectivity issues. 1st: the deadbolt wouldnt extend to size, thus jimmying it and forcing it to finally open up took about 5-10 minutes what shouldve taken less than 5-10 seconds. Nitpicky? Nah. 2nd: the back portion that gets installed first and then the deadbolt switch was tight, meaning that once the thin portion is installed, youd have to force the deadbolt switch up to align the screws. Weird. 3rd: going through the installation via nest app is easy, but trying to integrate it with google home was a failure. Why? Seriously. It should have been as simple as logging in but it doesnt allow me. 4rd: after it ran its test multiple times due to failure, i adjusted the same deadbolt strike plate that came with the house and it works without the google iteration of the strike plate. Anyways… The sole reason i bought this was to integrate with google, and it has not shown to work.

This lock works great and integrates well into the nest ecosystem. It is very easy to install and set up of the lock itself is also easy walking through the steps on your phone through the nest app. The temporary key function is also great as you can give people a key pin that lasts for as long as you want it to. The only downside is that there is no integration with Google Home at all. I can understand not being able to unlock the door with smart home voice functions, since that could pose security risks but you can't even tell google to lock up for the night having it lock without opening the app, this would be a welcome update.

Happy with this lock. It has been reliable and was easy to install. I was able to put the Nest receiver that connects the lock to my wifi into a closet outlet with no service issues. That helped to hide the device. My wireless access points are well positioned so I cannot speak to the range but it was nice that the signal between the lock and the Nest receiver was not impaired by the closet wall and door. I have installed deadbolt locks before and I find the design of the Yale lock very thoughtful and easy to install.

Purchased this to add to the other smart devices in our house. This has been nice because the install was easy and it was really easy to add to the Nest app. I like how it shows up on the nest app and allows you to control it through there. You can give out passcodes to give people (like family members or babysitters) temporary access or permanent access. You can also check the status of the door and lock and unlock it from your phone as well as get notifications on your phone when someone has locked and unlocked the door and who it was that did it. This was a great product that I'm very happy with.

This is my second time buying these (putting them on ny house now). They are amazing if you are in the Google/nest ecosystem. They are also the most responsive as a few locks I’ve had the keypads are laggy and these I’ve never had an issue. Battery life is also amazing (use lithium batteries). Only downside is it’s only nest/Google and you have to use the included bridge since they don’t connect directly to wifi. I get it to save battery they use a more efficient protocol but it is less convenient.

Once i realized i needed to drill deeper into my door sonthr bolt would fit, installation was smooth. Easy to set up wifi connection and the app is very user friendly. This lock allows you to program different codes or randomly send out a code via email to anyone you wish. You can set access code start times and expiration date/time. Owner can also open the lock remotely at will from a cell phone. This is a must have if you own a rental property or must share restricted access to various people and don’t want to worry about transferring keys back and forth.

This was very easy to install (and trust me, my husband is not good at this type of stuff). As all my Nest products, this was very easy to set up and connect in the app. I’ve had no trouble and I love the features. I like that you can set it on Privacy mode so no one can use the keypad when you don’t want them to. I also love that you can set up different passwords, times, etc. it’s perfect for my housekeeper. Finally, I like that you can set it to auto lock after a certain time so you don’t forget about locking it. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my Nest Yale lock!

Love this lock! Its sleek design and super easy installation made it nice and fun to swap over at our home. Love all the app features as well.

Love using this smart lock. It’s super handy if you need to let someone in when your not home + great not having to worry about a key. I haven’t used the functions where you can assign different people codes to get in, but that seems like it could be useful. I had a little trouble getting the bolt to align with the door frame and that’s why I gave 4 stars. Spent longer than I wanted chiseling the door frame receptacle for the bolt to get it to shut properly. Had an error message and was worried it wasn’t going to work. After a while I got everything to work and it’s been working great since.

Your standard smartlock that does exactly what it advertises. Easy to install and setup. I love the sleek, all digital look but I can see this asthetic as a potential downside. So understand this lock is 100% keyless, so if you forget your code hopefully you're using the Nest app or have another door until you can reset the lock.

We are Nest lovers in this home so finally getting a door lock that is compatible with Nest has been great. My husband installed it easily and the set up process was a breeze. We really enjoy the fact that we each can have our own passcode and give our family and friends one as well! We can even limit their access to our home, if we choose to do so. This has been a great addition to our house.
