This was a great upgrade for the time being, not really expecting 3.1 in my area anytime soon.

I have been using this modem for about 3 months now and don't have a single complaint. It handles all the devices in my household and delivers the speeds that I am paying for from my provider.

If I known this modem has the defective Intel Puma Chipset I would of never purchased this garbage. Only redeeming quality is that it was an easy and quick set up and that is about it. By the fourth day of owning this garbage modem it started to shut itself on and off automatically. This gets worse as time goes on. Now it shuts on and off three to four times a day and I have to constantly reset it. There were times that I lost connection when I need it the most. There is nothing wrong with Netgear the company itself it is just any modem like the CM700 that has this defective Intel Puma Chipset is going to give you constant headaches. I am going to purchase the CM1000 or the CM1200.

Doesn't reach far, not enough signal. This was a last minute Modem purchase to be installed with my Router for my scheduled Internet Installation (I thought I had a Modem/Router at home, turned out to be just a Router...bummer). I haven't changed it for mere laziness, but on my to do list (pile it on).

Very light weight and has been working well so far

Not sure why or what the problem was and neither did the spectrum tech I was working with but it didn’t perform. Cycled between blazing fast internet to almost zero connectivity. Fought with it for a couple hours but nothing we tried worked so I returned it.

There are better cable modem that have come out now

I really haven't had any issues with this product actually. Works well with Spectrum

We neexed to have a Docsis 3.1 to have better deal with our provider.
