I spoke with a sales associate, Like, who recommended this model. After reviewing several other modems I chose this one. I have been out of town and haven't hooked up yet. But I am looking forward to setting this modem up.

This modem is OK, but I really didn't need one like the associate told me. If it wasn't so much trouble to go back through Optimum to get it online, I would have returned it.

Best modem ever. If your looking to save money on a well made product.

This has worked out very well for us, it was a good upgrade.

Ditched my Optimum modem for this Netgear one. I got tired of paying $10.00 per month to Optimum. The Optimum rep recommended this to me, said she has it. I bought it on her recommendation. So far so good.

Instead of buying the entry level modem (CM-500), I bought this modem so I wouldn’t have to upgrade any time soon. In other words, its more than I need now. But, I will not be forced to upgrade by my ISP when they drop the CM-500.

This NetGear Router is a great product and the Best Buy representative was most helpful in helping me make my purchase decision. Thank you Best Buy!!

Still strong and used almost 3 years. This is a nice router.

Works great! Replaced my Mediacom modem. No more monthly charge! It only took a couple of minutes to contact Mediacom & get it activated.

I am sure this is an excellent product, but found out I did not have need of it so I returned it the next day. Thank you Best Buys for all you do.

Cable modems always start off great. Then a year or so passes and you're resetting them once a week, then once a day, then they die and have to be replaced. Only time will tell if this one is any different.

Works great on comcast. No impact on network speed. However, the device seems more stable than the ones they rent. Will pay for itself in in 10 months.

This cable Modem has been one of the steadiest i have used. I will keep buying as long as the quality stays the same or gets better. Your internet connection will stay strong....like the force!

We were in need of a new modem, after receiving upgrades in our internet service. Thankfully the local Best Buy had this option, which has worked well for us.

It does what it says it will do. This was an upgrade from a previous model. Much less internet lockups now.

We were looking for a modem that would work with a WiFi. This is it! We bought the WiFi at Best Buy to and it has made our internet and all other Bluetooth products run great!

Works great , upgrade from provider supplied modem.

After set up, there were a couple times in the first week where I lost a connection. Not sure if it was a modem problem or not but since then it's been great.
