Enormous amounts of "Jitter" and Lag spikes

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't know about all of the issues modems with an intel "puma 6" chipset experienced before I bought this modem. It activated and installed seemless with my Suddenlinks 400 mbits/s connection and I was happy to see consistent DL speeds a bit over what I paid for. Then I tried to play Xbox using a direct ethernet connection to my Netgear router. Issues popped up immediately and after doing research and testing for jitter and lag estimations on three different sites and getting back 3 reports that suggested severe performance issues, I returned it for a SB6193. That was a bit of a pain in the buns to activate (2+hours on the phone), but it gives about the same performance without the issues. Apparently the Puma 6 issues are on a modem by modem basis, but I returned this as fast as I could after my experience mimicked the reported issues down to the letter. I'd say avoid them like the plague if you can.
