It serves its function, the build of the modem uses good materials and reaches a little above its listed speeds. Only problem is that it's too light and can't be sit on its side. Ethernet wires drag the modem backwards and it can't stand steadily without something weighing it down. Netgear charges so much more then the competition its sad to see something so poorly designed in terms of its design and buiid of the box surrounding the technology.

I greatly prefer this to the Arris modem I bought 5 months ago which died. Easy to set up and the status lights are not overly bright. The Arris is a white vented unit and the status lights ar extremely bright and difficult to suffuse without throwing a towel over the unit - which would make it overheat. Definitely spend the extra $10 for a protection plan so if it fails, you can replace in the same day.

This is a great product and works really well. Good price and good quality.

Saves you 5 - 15 bucks a month on a bill. Technically pays for itself after a few months. You get the speeds you pay for.

I purchased this modem after my previous modem suddenly stopped working. This Netgear modem was easy to install and I had no issue when working with my ISP support team to register it on their system. Very happy with the performance of the modem.

I bought this cable modem because mine stopped working. It was easy to installed, went online with my internet provider to recognized the new equipment and in a few minutes, I had internet again. This new modem works even better than my old one.

Works great! Certainly helped chisel away at my Internet Bill. Just make sure you register this with your ISP before you try to plug it into the house and get it connected at home.

Instead of renting it, own it and got to have it! It's fast and reliable!

The modem is fast and easy to install, I had no issues with activation.

Had a problem with the old model on a Comcast cable connection. Checked the rate with a speed website and I was getting something really sad like 1.2Mbps. Replaced the modem and now get the about 50Mbps I am supposed to get! Problem solved.

Great for today's faster speeds. Easy to set up. Fast.
