This router was the perfect upgrade from the cm500 Netgear for my new Samsung Premium TV. Works perfectly with Xfinity no need to rent their equipment but you will need a modem I use the Netgear just make it simple!

This is the modem I’d recommend to anyone who is looking for fast internet for a great price.

I need a new modem for faster speed. For my needs this was recommended to me from a guy at Geek Squad. I have had it for a couple weeks and I'm very pleased with the speed which is way faster than my old one.

The packaging stated that this modem is completely compatible with Xfinity yet it should state that the DOCSIS 3.0 protocol IS NOT compatible with 1Gig speeds. That speed requires a DOCSIS 3.1 protocol and on a glitch on Comcast's side, it worked for almost 2 months and then they blocked it out so the best speed I get is 400mbps and an upload of 6 mbps which is NOT what was expected. I am now past my return date to exchange it with a DOCSIS 3.1 so I am out ANOTHER $120 to purchase one with the 3.1 protocol.

I didn't know how bad my internet was until I hooked this up. I had to learn how to play COD all over because my response time was incredibly faster. Streaming is a lot smoother this was a Great investment!!

Works perfectly with my cable provider. It’s a better choice than renting there’s for a fee every month.

Household of five and each of the five have multiple devices. With the NETGEAR equipment that we are now using we both longer experience constant buffering.

Netgear makes solid network products and this modem is one of them. Very reliable. Using with Comcast. Has On/Off switch which is handy when the modem needs to be reset after a power failure.

The modem works great. Comcast had to do some work on their end to get it connected, but the modem is very good. Good speeds. We have a Netgear router too, but it isn’t necessary.

Its been doing great high speed internet Xfinity. Needed so I no longer renting 10.00 a month could have bought it over and over. The team at Best buy Helped with what we have hooked up and what would handled all of our stuff. So far so good!!!

Best decision to replace the Infinity supplied unit. Paired this with the Orbi Mesh router + 1 stand alone remote. Save $14 lease per month & have great internet throughout a 2 story house.

I have been putting off buying and continued renting from cable provider for too long. I am glad I finally made the choice. Was easy to install and works great!

This works great for us. We are not gamers, but do a lot of streaming. When our old one died, we got this on sale and it has been perfect.

tt is faster than the cable provider unit I had. Both are gigabit but this one is faster. Auto setup did not work. Had to call the cable company to set it up but it wasn't that difficult.

it's not expensive, and works well with my routers.

I purchased this unit instead of renting on from Comcast. It will pay for itself in less than a year. Works great, but when you install you need to call Comcast in order to get your new Modem set-up. Works great.

Easy setup and configuration. No glitches since install two months ago. Used with tp-link c2300 router to eliminate xfinity rental charges. Some basic network knowledge is required when setting this up.

I replaced my old modem with this Netgear modem when I went to a higher speed internet. My provider is Xfinity and I've had no problems.

It did take about two hours to finally get the modem to connect to my cable internet service, but that’s because I started the process with Comcast instead of Netgear. The modem has worked fairly well. I have had to a resend signal sent once, but I don’t believe the modem was the issue. I have not noticed too much difference in download speed. The one piece of advice I would pass along is to call Netgear when you begin to hook up the modem. Also, if you have an older Netgear router that will work with the modem, bypass installing any software updates. That is why my first attempt took 1.5 hours, and I’m not sure the software ever updated during that time. It was not necessary to run that update first before going through the set-up for the modem. So almost a month in, and so far, so good.
