It did take about two hours to finally get the modem to connect to my cable internet service, but that’s because I started the process with Comcast instead of Netgear. The modem has worked fairly well. I have had to a resend signal sent once, but I don’t believe the modem was the issue. I have not noticed too much difference in download speed. The one piece of advice I would pass along is to call Netgear when you begin to hook up the modem. Also, if you have an older Netgear router that will work with the modem, bypass installing any software updates. That is why my first attempt took 1.5 hours, and I’m not sure the software ever updated during that time. It was not necessary to run that update first before going through the set-up for the modem. So almost a month in, and so far, so good.

Had an old modem, desperately needed an update before, but once covid hit, I really needed it. Updated the router too and got comcast in to fix the wiring coming into the building.

expanded my bandwidth to a new level. had a speed upgrade but old equipment was not capable to handle that. plugged this in and it did the magic.

Easy set up, works great. Had a failed arris modem after 6 months so went with something different. Won't go back.

Easy to Install and gets more bandwidth and faster speeds than my old DOCSIS 2 1.6 modem I have cox internet

This is the 2nd router that I purchase from Best Buy. This item is for my brother so he can get some discount form his internet carrier. Easy to install and internet works perfect. My brother is happy.

Almost Plug n Play: I still had to call Spectrum to get them to set it up on their end. The online portal to do this wasn't allowing me to install. Works great and delivers the speeds it promises.

Had to replace my cable modem which lasted for about 3 years. I guess these things die after a short while. For the price this cable modem was worth it. Set up was fairly easy and the modem works well.

Not particularly a fan of Netgear products as I usually have a terrible experience with them, but this product was easy to setup and haven’t had any issues with it.

The new modem solved our periodic list internet service and our wireless speed continues to be in range of 220 to 335 (we have the 200 plan)

Our older modem was choking on multiple connected devices and we needed an updated model. The new netgear is running like a champ and setting it up on our Spectrum service was quick and easy. I like plug and play fast.

Purchased this modem and a Netgear wireless router to replace a cable modem. Works great, but had problems with the set up. Netgear has excellent customer service and helped get me set up.

Why limit your internet speed with the purchase of an inferior modem. Get the most out of your internet and the highest possible speeds on your devices with the purchase of a Netgear cable modem.

Very good Modem... I had to upgrade from a CM500 to this one and you can tell the difference from the moment you connect it! Not the fastest Modem but, pretty dam good... Thanks!

When a nearby lightning strike took out our router, and seemingly several neighbors. It took long enough to diagnose the problem that all the cheaper replacements were sold out. This one works fine, and still beats the cost of renting from Comcast.

Got this installed without hassle. I went ahead and had the Comcast gent take care of the process, as you never know what to expect. Everything works as expected. Meets my need for speed and has been very stable.

Best Buy has a trade-in program where I was able to trade my old modem for this one wihich is a lot faster than my old one.

I couldn’t beat the price.Fairly seemless setup and activation online was easy. It took about 10 minutes to figure it out (my laptop takes about 5 min to boot up). If all else fails, I’m sure that Comcast will help out via phone...
