PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE MODEM!

Only redeeming quality is that it was an easy and quick set up and that is about it. By the fourth day of owning this garbage modem it started to shut itself on and off automatically. This gets worse as time goes on. Now it shuts on and off three to four times a day and I have to constantly reset it. There were times that I lost connection when I need it the most. There is nothing wrong with Netgear the company itself it is just any modem like the CM700 that has this defective Intel Puma Chipset is going to give you constant headaches. I am going to purchase the CM1000 or the CM1200.

Serves its purpose

This was a last minute Modem purchase to be installed with my Router for my scheduled Internet Installation (I thought I had a Modem/Router at home, turned out to be just a Router...bummer). I haven't changed it for mere laziness, but on my to do list (pile it on).

Not good

Cycled between blazing fast internet to almost zero connectivity. Fought with it for a couple hours but nothing we tried worked so I returned it.

Better than expected

Also checked it has the latest firmware for Xfinity out of the box. Issues are the short 1 year warranty and ridiculous only 90 day tech support. Hope this thing last much longer than the warranty.
