I do not recommend the more expensive one that supports DOCSIS 3.1 because I tried that one and it didn't work very well - it kept dropping the connection - maybe too fast for my internet provider line.

If you need more than one ethernet port, however, you will want to buy a splitter (which I did for my wireless router so others in the household could have internet access during my work hours). Good product.
