    It works but you should get a DOCSIS 3.1 so that you can get speeds over 100 mbps and future proof yourself.

    I purchased this modem after upgrading to Gigabit service on Xfinity. I could barely get over 400 down and nothing over 5 up. Xfinity told me that this modem was not designed for Gigabit even though it says it can download at over 1 gig. But it was consistent in it's limitations on my network. Like all Netgear modems, if you have Xfinity it's easy to setup and activate.

    Served me well for the last one and half years and today it is dead. Make sure to get Geek Squad protection on this device so that you will be most of your money back and will get a chance to choose another modem when this happens. I think this happened to all the modems that I bought so far, doesn't matter which brand or model.

    This modem is good but wasn’t fast enough for my connection the gigablast returned for the docsis 3.1 which can handle it
