This is a solid switch that works as it should. Its well made, compact and perfect for use in a small home network. Best Buy was kind enough to price match with Amazon which was an added bonus.

The Netgear Prosafe 5 port 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet Switch is built solid. This switch supports up to Gigabit speed and the ports use "auto-sense" to automatically adjust for uplink capability (using standard Ethernet cable) when you wish to daisy chain with another switch. Netgear backs this "pro" grade solid metal switch for life.

I needed a switch for my home office. There are cheaper ones but Netgear hardware has always be reliable & just works. My router is also Netgear so I always prefer to use the same brand hardware on a network. Probably doesn’t matter but why push your luck. Plus I use the Netgear app to view & manage my home network.

Gigabit network switches are a pretty straightforward commodity and have similar pricing. From experience, I normally go with the Netgear because I've never had an issue with one in either reliability or performance.

This one is mine. It does what it says it’s supposed to. There aren’t many bells and whistles, but I believe that’s how’s switches are supposed to act. My internet traffic is switched nearly all day with no complaints. So if you have the need for switched internet traffic, save your shekels and switch significant signals with this specimen. You shouldn’t be sorry.

What can I say, it works! Needed to hook up a printer in an office with only one network jack so plugged that cable and the printer cable and the computer cable and voila', they all worked. Perfect size as only needed the three ports so it tucked away on the back of the desk.

I purchased this switch to network my house. As expected, it was an easy process to plug-and-play. I now have live network ports in each room with no issues. Thanks Best Buy for having this in stock when I needed it.

Can't be more simple. Your router goes in one end, and any other devices come out the others. I got this because my router is a Google Nest Mesh network so there was only one output on the router. The hub helped me hardwire a PC & Philips HUE, both of which wound up working flawlessly.
