This was perfect for my situation, I had 2 devices and 1 cable running through my apartment to my room. Anytime I wanted to switch devices I'd switch the cable to get the fastest internet speed, but with this no more. I got this plugged it in and thats it. Both devices instantly had around speeds pushing 900mbps download speed (which for my location and internet provider is superb). Can't speak for if you fill the other ports what that will do to your speeds but from what I have noticed it should work just fine.

Very easy to use, plug and play type of device. The build is very durable, feels very well made.

All lines feed into the same unit, super easy to hook-up and network. Using this instead of running multiple 25' ethernet cables to the entertainment systems.

Works great in my living room. Networks my Smart TV, DVD Player and TIVO. No issues and easy to install. I would recommend this to anyone.

NETGEAR makes some good --SIMPLE -- products. Had to create a way for more direct access to incoming internet as family enjoys Gaming and Streaming TV. DEVICE allows for a very simple hook-up to give each room the needed connections without lost connection via wireless. PricePoint could have been a little lower but i like BEST BUY ----soooo --- There you have it Get out there and Buy One

This switch was the perfect complement to my new router. Setup was super easy... remove it from the box, plug everything in and turn it on... done! Be sure you have enough Ethernet cables.

2 gamers in the house. The need for multiple ethernet connections became apparent quickly. The only suggestion I have is make sure if you are using a surge protector have an end plug free.

Probably the best ethernet switch ever, the speed.

Works nicely as a hub to connect our internet throughout the house. House was prewired to rooms and used this to get signal from our Xfinity gateway to each room for a wired connection.

Quick and simple to use. Bought this to expand the number of hard wired devices. Good product and well made.

Small compact workhorse. 5 ports, gigabit capable, simple to use and understand. The only drawback I have found is the ports are on the front side instead of the back. It is really a minor inconvenience.

Handy plug n play device which reduces the need for wifi connections. Can be mounted. No managed security but reduces interception by not utilizing wifi.

Needed this switch to spit a connecting between a VoIP Phone Laptop and an access point in a medium size business, it worked great without issue and so far no complaints. I installed a couple and so far no issue.

Using the switch for extending Ethernet options for my PC room which will house all my consoles as well. Saves me time and space, don’t have multiple Ethernet cords running through the house either.

Not much to say. Its a no-frills unmanaged switch that gets the job done. Maybe the only negative aspect is having the power cable on the side opposite of the network ports.

I hardwired all of my gaming consoles and this worked to do that! Plug and play and easy to setup!

It does exactly what it's supposed to do. it splits one connection to four more. No issues with the setup up just simple plug and play. Works like it's supposed to.

Switch is great. Its not as dumb as a box of rocks (traffic prioritization, sigh) but it get the job done.
