Inexpensive solution that works. Take it out of the box, power it, plug in your cat 5 wires and you're in business in minutes. My only complaint is that it could've come with a template for the screws if you want to mount it.

This is a great product, easy to use and set up. Would recommend to anybody trying to extend their ethernet cable and add more links to one ethernet cable

I had the older 10/100 baseT Ethernet model and updated to the 100/1000 baseT model. This is simply like a power strip for Ethernet connections. One goes to the wall or router and the remaining four can be used for devices to share an Ethernet channel and use the Ethernet Modem connected to the WLAN on the router. Remember the connect speed is still the slowest point in the chain so you won't see 1000 baseT speed if a 100 baseT Ethernet device is in the chain. That point understood, this is a no brainer update to REMOVE those slower devices in your Network as we see faster and faster devices like routers and Internet modems and even wi-fi populate your network. There is no difference in installation with the older model, simply remove and replace and you're done. Where the extra speed is detected, it will auto negotiate that speed for you.

Reliable and easy to set up. Couldn't ask for much more except a great warranty (that I have never needed to use over all these years of using the ProSafe line). Works right out of the box with no fanfare or hurdles to jump through.

Easy to install and connect. My application was simple and straightforward so this worked great!

Bought this switch to expand my network to include devices that were running over WiFi. Decided for security purposes to wire things directly to enable greater security capabilities. Switch works exactly as expected as I have come to expect from Netgear devices....

The Netgear makes a perfect Cat5+ slitter, with no loss of signal. All steel construction, excellent quality. This is a five-port, but I also have an eight-port I got nearly ten years ago, and it performs flawlessly. Netgear makes the best Ethernet switch, in my opinion.

Purchased to replace an older unit which couldn’t handle the speeds we had upgraded to from our cable provider. Installed without issues and Speedtest showed our network to be delivering connection speeds of 117 Mbps.. our previous unit was only pushing 25Mbps.

If you just need more ethernet ports with no bells and whistles, this little switch will give you 4. It's not managed and none of the ports are POE, but it gives you 4 solid ethernet ports. I've been using switches like these for years and never had connection issues.

Well made product. Opted of the metal cabinet instead of the plastic one made by the same manufacturer as I have found the metal ones are more forgiving when mounting on the wall. Overall a great product and can’t beat the price.

Works as supposed to and has been giving me great service. With most routers offering only four ports sometimes you need to plug more devices and this product will give you four more ports.

With COVID 19 our church had to go online to keep the members engaged. Our internet ports where all being used. The 5-port Net Gear Ethernet port helped to keep our laptop connected and kept us from having to disconnect other devices while live streaming.
