I purchased this at the advice of our I.T. company. I needed my Cat5 internet cable to extend further to accommodate my new office set up. I looked at getting an extender but was told that the switch would provide the best performance. I have been very pleased and I love that is was as simple as plugging the old cable into the switch and adding the new cable to route to my computer.

This switch has worked very well for my needs numerous times. Good performance, compact size and inexpensive.

When we switched cable and internet providers, the modem we got only had two ethernet ports. That Was fine, as we only had two computers. I forgot about our smart tv. WiFi was working mostly OK but we had buffering every now and then on some streaming services. I got this switch and everything works great! no more buffering! I have used Netgear products previously and they have always been well made and worked great!

Great item, easy to set up, and great for use in home use. Just from this one, if I need, I will use it again or move up to 8 8-port with Netgear

This is a device for managing a system of 5 units. I was able to integrate all my electronic pieces. It is perfect for computers, printers, routers and any other electronics that need to be tied together. Netgear provides great equipment that will solve many connectivity issues. I recommend this NETGEAR unit.

Works great just plug I'm in the plugs and the little box does the rest. I'm not super tech savvy so I can't comment on if there is a faster option. But there is no drop off from when I connect an Ethernet directly to my computer/ game consoles/etc and it's definitely a better connection than using WiFi. Feels sturdy and has a clean appearance. Ports light up if there is a good connection.

I needed to connect a few devices (wired) and had a single Ethernet port. This handy switch did the trick. Easy installation and great price point.

Love this switch. Easy to set up, configure, and use. Nothing too fancy here, but provides for basic needs. I bench marked it via control tests and real world use cases and it does what it says. LEDs are simple and make any troubleshooting very straightforward.

Works great! We have our media and gaming systems running through this switch without issue.
