Perfect Ethernet switch, easy to set up, very compact, and has given consistent and reliable speeds to all things plugged in.

I had one Ethernet output from my router, but I wanted 3 fast connections. This unmanaged switch was priced competitively, so I tried it. It works great!

I have several of these on my home network, they are easy to set up and you can connect up to four devices to it. Wired connections are faster and more reliable than wireless, so when I can used wired I do.

[Employee of bestbuy] If you have ever been in the market for an unmanaged switch, it is nearly impossible NOT to come across this family of Netgear switches. I have a couple of these deployed in my home and I've deployed dozens of these in the field as well. They just... work. Purchased a new construction home and many of the rooms have ethernet pre-wired. Most stationary devices in my home are using ethernet and I use a mix of these Netgear 5-port and 8-port switches depending on the device load. There are TVs, streaming devices (5 Apple TVs), computers, gaming consoles, smart bridges, NAS, printers, mesh nodes, AV equipment (receivers, power amps), etc. all running through these switches and haven't had any issues with them. They are also great options for the small business segment. In fact, they are marketed for business use and come with a lifetime warranty. Most residential networking equipment these days are housed in a plastic chassis. The metal case certainly gives a premium feel in your hands over plastic and I personally like the simplicity of the design. My significant other disagrees and does not like the way they look. However, no complaints from her about buffering when she's binge watching her shows in 4K. Great option at this price point. Highly recommend!

Just what I needed for my home network works great and great speeds

With a little tech know how, hooking this up was a breeze. Fits perfectly behind my TV and serves all my wired in needs from my game console, to my TV and computer. Inexpensive and it gets the job done.

New Router that we got from Xfinity only came with two slots, and our previous router that died had four slots. We were using the connection from the router to the tower, as well as two other computers in the house hard wired to the router as well as a Nintendo Switch. When we brought this home and realized we were short two ports. we realized there was NO WAY this new setup was gonna work, so after doing some research online, found out about this, which ironically is ALSO called a "Switch". Brought it home, connected all the Ethernet cables up to it and voila, just like nothing had ever changed, plus we have an extra port now for another gaming system if we want! Great price and works perfectly!

This is a nice little switch. Setup is simple with no worries about which port to use - all are active and switch automatically. I bought this so an internet connection could be shared between a desktop computer, a Blu-ray player and direct TV box. Very easy to use for novice users - there is no need for the switch to be managed since this is just a simple 5 port switch.

Added a new PC to office wanted to keep it wired this allowed us not to pay for more wiring of Cat 6 in the office and was quick and dirty fix. Which works great. Also added a TV and a printer to this.

Works as advertised - a good purchase for me. I got a new xfinity modem/router and my 6 tb wdmycloud nas drive would not be recognized by the network. I brought this switch and put it in between the xfinity device and the nas drive and problem resolved. The xfinity device only had 2 ethernet ports leaving me 2 short of being able to hook up my nas drive, smart tv, android box and laptop. In addition to resolving my NAS connection issue it resolved my lack of port issue. I have all my connections hard wired for speed and have a free port on the mode/router to add a game system.

This is amazing for my apartment provided internet service which only has 1 ethernet port on the router. It has allowed me to connect multiple pcs, with no speed loss or latency degradation. Another huge pro- It is literally plug and play. There is no software to set up or anything.
