Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the 8 x 4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem's ease of use, strong performance, and attractive price point. Many appreciate its compact size and straightforward setup process, finding it compatible with their existing services. While some users noted the device can get warm during operation and occasional signal interruptions, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns for most.

Since TWC aka Spectrum increased the modem lease price to $10, it was high time that I buy one. This modem is compact and was very easy to setup. Just plug it in, call TWC support as their self-service page doesn't work and you're all set. I should have bought this sooner and saved on these lease fees.

    Plug-n-play

What a great experience at Best Buy. First of all Best Buy price matched Newegg's price at $60. Secondly the in-house Time Warner rep activated my new modem. Then the TW rep gave me a new TV/Internet deal along with a $50 Best Buy gift certificate (which I then applied to my new modem). And lastly I went home and plugged in the new modem to the cable line and to my existing NETGEAR router. The modem booted up and I was in business. Plug-n-play!!!

    Works well with xfinity

Unpacked it, plugged it in, called xfinity, and 20 minutes later I was getting faster speeds than with xfinity's gateway. No more $10/mo rental fees for me! Paired it with a netgear WNDR4500 I have been using for about 2 years. Fast and complete dual band wifi coverage everywhere in a 4 story masonry townhome. Love netgear!

Upgraded from DOCSIS 2 cable modem. Increase in speed is great. No more waiting to load videos. Downloading software updates also much speedier. I have notices at least a 50% increase in speed. Love it.

One MUST BUY this to save real money

Just thinking that "What If my own modem does not work" and made me loose money over the years. I bought this on recommendation and this is a really great product. Light weight, small and ZERO installation effort. Just plug play and call your provider to change the MAC id (if required). I also observed change in my internet speed. I would 100% recommend this product and you MUST take TROUBLE to buy this :-) - It really saves money.

    Good Modem Great Price

This modem is quite affordable and one of the cheapest Modem that support DOCSIS 3.0 standard. DOCSIS 3.0 is the latest industry standard and is required to receive fast internet service from many Internet Service Providers (ISP) now-a-days. After setting up the online XFINITY account, I was able to start the internet service on my own without calling the ISP which I think is an additional benefit of using this Modem.

I got tired of paying TWC a monthly fee for an old router so I finally bought one and the set up was easy, you do have to call TWC to have it configured but it was fairly easy.

Purchased it off the list of approved modems for Time Warner Cable and works just as well as the one they gave me, saving $10 a month. Great value for the money. Have actually noticed a slight performance increase since using this one over the TWC issued modem.

I just bought this modem. Called TWC and they verified that this unit is one of the compatible modems even though it wasn't listed on the site. Took no more than five minutes to activate it. All I had to do was call TWC, provide the MAC address, wait for the tech to register the modem on his end, watch the LED lights flashed a couple of times and that's it. A compact little modem that can fit almost anywhere versus the huge Arris box I was leasing from Time Warner.

    Fixed Dropped Connection Problem

After using this modem with no problems for several months with Comcast, it began getting hot and dropping the internet connection. I set it upright and turned an inexpensive ($7.50) 4-inch personal electric fan on it, and now it works fine again.

When I went back to Xfinity/Comcast for internet service I didn't want to pay $10 a month for their modem/router. This Modem works great and could deliver more Mbps than I pay for. I'll recoup the cost of buying it after six months.
