This is great cable modem and much better then what is rented from the cable company. You will need your own WiFi router with this modem. However if you want fast reliable WiFi you should buy a nice WiFi router anyway. I have the nighthawk ac1900. Bestbuy also sells this modem with the same nighthawk ac1900 router in one unit.

Works well, stable. There is nothing to set up, all you need to to is plug it in, call your cable company and it is ready to go.

I replaced my old Netgear modem with the CM500 and it was extremely easy to set up and now my system is running faster than ever. I also replaced my router with the ORBI from Netgear. If you are having problems with signal from your router the ORBI is your answer. I am extremely happy with the combo. Worth every penny.

We had trouble at a previous house so I decided to use our own instead of renting one from the provider. This has been excellent.

I needed a new modem for Xfinity and this was the best option for the $$. Once I got it to connect with Xfinity it has worked great.

The router was easy to install and I had no problems with it. It was reasonably priced. The only thing is that I don't know how long it will last. I've bought Netgear routers before and after a year or two they died on me. Hopefully it won't be the case with this router. I've had it for over a month now and so far so good.

Decided it was time to buy rather than continuing to pay rental fees to cable company. The price was great and setup a breeze.

Have had no problems at all in the year that I have had the product. Haven't even had to turn off or restart!

So I recently upgraded to Extreme Internet from Time Warner. This little guy really does a good job. Hasn't flaked out yet.

This modem is all you need. It handles my internet speed great and when connected to a router our house has fast internet.

The box gave an accurate description of the modem. I plugged it in and it’s been working flawlessly since.

Modem worked well but wouldn't connect with our existing router which was a few years old, so returned item and bought an all in one.

Works great and I no longer have to pay to rent one from the local cable company. So happy I decided to purchase my own!

The router is very simple to set up and use if you go with the default password. There is a mobile app to get into the setting if you want to change things. It was a little clunky to get the app to connect but I was in a hurry. Performance has been flawless even with many devices streaming. Range is good for this price range .
