Bought the modem to avoid rental charge of $10 a month. Speed is excellent. One draw back. There are no modems with telephone connections commercially available except through the cable companies, so you need a splitter which they supply for free. You then have 2 modems, but they do not charge for theirs..

I've had it for about 2 months now and no problems so far! The wifi reaches the whole house with multiple users.

Had to use a magnifying glass to read the label. Called Cox, gave them the numbers, was up and running in no time.

I was having a lot of odd issues with another cable modem I have at home such as loosing connection, unable to connect to the Xfinity network, unable to reset etc. I switch to Netgear and all odd problems are gone. It is fast and friendly.

Reviewed online and discussed with Best Buy associate who seemed very helpful. Settled on this modem, very easy to set up and get working. Only problem is my Airport Extreme went bad, so will probably switch to a different brand WiFi base.

Using this cable modem I was able to reduce my cable bill by not paying monthly rental. Wish I had purchased sooner.

works well haven't had any problems with this modem . haven't had any other modem to compare to so ? I guess its fine.

I wish I had been recommended the combined modem/router product available from NetGear instead of 2 different products.

I have been using this product for 4 months continuously without having to reset the modem AT ALL. It works fabulously and is just what I needed. I am able to stream videos like Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon while downloading large files simultaneously without any problems. I am a *very* happy customer.

Don't waste another minute renting a cable modem, go out and get this.

listen, i'm getting great speeds, and reliable connection, but... i wish i had known about docsys3.1, much faster speeds, i went cheap and for the price this one is great, i'm going to swap this out soon for a 3.1 modem, then check out the speeds - and post a new review

Xfinity tried to tell me only their modem would support my security and dvr but this works perfectly. No complaints

The Comcast rep tried to talk me into using their equipment by telling me that they wouldn't support this item. The jokes on them, this modem is so reliable I don't need their support and it will have paid for itself in by saving me the rental fees Comcast charges for their antiquated boxes.

I really like this modem. My old modem did not support the current speed I was getting from my ISP. So I upgraded to this modem, and now get 250 Mbps and 11Mbps up. I no longer have to reboot my modem, and I do not I have to pay a rental fee. Buying your own modem is definitely worth it.

It gets the job done. Nothing spectacular about it, just a cable modem. I figured I'd rather buy one than pay a monthly charge to the cable company to rent one. If you are in need of a cable modem, it will do what you need, and this is about the lowest price you will find one for.

No huge issues, works as expected. I have had to restart a couple times in the last year.

I was only getting approximately 31 Mbps download speed on my cable until I purchased this 3.0 modem. Subsequently, I now Get 61 Mbps download speed which is better than the 50 Mbps I'm paying for. Great purchase.
