Yes it provides internet access. Yes it is high speed internet. I pay for 100 Mbs but this modem seems to max at 60 even though it should provide MORE than enough. This is the 3rd one I've tried.

Almost used this stupid router for 10 months thinking that Time Warner connection is not good. After all checks by Time Warner found that this modem was the source of the problem. Threw it to trash.

    Garbage--dead after 8 months

After purchasing this Netgear model, it was not powerful enough for a 2000 square foot townhouse. So it was exchanged for the Netgear C6300 ($150+. Unfortunately because of the exchange, Best Buy is making me review this model instead). The C6300 worked great for 8 months...then suddenly, the internet stopped working. Devices would pick up the network but not work. System reset would not work. So Comcast came out three times and inspected everything. They even reburied an outside line. Still, no internet. Comcast said everything was working according to them! I didn't suspect this modem/router was the issue because all lights were on, and the unit was 8 months old. But finally, the Comcast technician swapped this out for their own equipment...and then the internet worked. The Netgear C6300 had died. Since it was within the year, I called customer service. After registering everything, and waiting forever for them to answer, they said they would not help me because the could not verify it was broken. The Netgear rep needed me to have Comcast re-establish the modem/router so they could check that it had actually failed. Now, do you think I want to call Comcast for them to take off their working equipment, to reauthorize the dead Netgear equipment, just so I can then call Netgear back and they can verify it is dead? Ridiculous. I told them No, I would throw it in the garbage and never purchase Netgear again.

I was looking for a router modem and the customer service rep said this was the best. Low and behold, it was only a modem. I waited too long to return, so was. Not given a refund.

Good modem for the price. Ended up returning due to it not being fast enough to handle to speed in my home but it works good for the basics.

It's a cable modem that does exactly what is supposed to do. You plug the cable in the device and in return you get internet. It's almost like magic.

Keep having to reset it. It's not a bad option to save your money, but if you wanna have a great connection, reconsider other options

I bought this modem to save some money on my xfinity account since I had a coupon. The xfinity logo was on the box as being compatible and the tech that was doing the installation with Comcast said he looked it up online and it should be compatible but for some reason wouldn't work. He said it kept rebooting itself and wouldn't connect. Not sure if it was an issue with the specific one I had or a general issue. I ended up returning it and installing a different modem.

Not much to review. I bought this modem but wasn't able to use it because I wasn't able to hook up my lan line phone. Human error on my part.

Looked to be a good product, however could not use it since ATT has blocked customers from going away from rental modems.

I would say I found no difference between this item and the one provided by Cox. I save money as no lease fee to Cox.

This is not a bad router but if you have more than 8 devices logged into it it’s very slow.
