This modem is just for those who do not have a phone line.

Good while it lasted. Performance dropped within the first 12 months. Not very reliable at all. Constant dropouts. Speed eventually dropped down to DSL levels.

I had this modem pushing a netgear ac1750 dual band router. Wifi on my devices kept dropping signal throughout my house. The xfinity cable modem did not have this issue. I returned and purchased a netgear cable modem all-in-one, and I now have coverage throughout again.

Not powerful enough. We need to exchange this product

I bought it after learning from the store rep that it will work well with Comcast Xfinity. But to my surprise i found that it gets disconnected intermittently. i tried if the problem is with my ISP. Used diff router which worked well.

I bought this since I have a Netgear router and this was well priced. It was very fast and easy to set up and a quick phone call to Time Warner (had to read them off the numbers on the stickers on the back of the modem) and I was up and running again. All the lights light up green except the last one it's orange and blinks. Another great Best Buy purchase!

This didn't last 2 months , just stopped working and had it tested and there was no data transmitting. Didn't buy the protection plane like I should of and wasn't able to exchange for a new one

Would only work for a little while before it shorted out. Exchanged for another one & it did the same thing. If using any internet speed faster than basic this modem will not work!

Normally I would say NetGear products are great but this time I must have bought a lemon. Modem worked good for first 20 days then just stopped working. I had to return this product.

this product did not work with Comcast, even though it specifically states that it does. we will be returning the product. Comcast had to come out twice, and we ended up using a Comcast modem.

Need to have a pc directly hooked up to the router for the internet to work, otherwise the internet will continue to drop randomly.

We bought this modem because it was much more economical than renting one from Comcast. After reading reviews on both Best Buy's website and others, we chose this one because it would do what we needed it do and it was a great price. It works great and have had no problems with it at all. Highly recommend this to anyone!

I purchased this modem to connect to my Xfinity service. Had trouble activating it or recognizing the device on my account. It was returned next day.

This was the worst internet box I have ever gotten. Security on this device sucked! && it was always losing connection.

Modem could not sustain a connect to my provider. Had to go to the Motorola to get internet to work.

I first found netgear's design is tasteful, at least not ugly. But it is of very bad quality. My PC cannot connect with it.

Switched this out with the one from cable company. Was glad to see that there is a difference between rental and privately owned hardware. Set up was simple and we haven't had an issue.

Modem couldn't connect to Cox's network so I had to buy a different one.

it may be a perfectly fine modem, but it did not allow for phone line connection.

Netgear modem is too slow. i wish i got a different one . i want high speed Internet
