Customers frequently mention the ease of use, strong WiFi performance, and reliable signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the adapter's good range and relatively easy installation process. While some users noted the small size of the adapter, others reported occasional software issues. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

My PC doesn't have a network card on it, but with this USB WiFi, I have an excellent connection and zero drops so far. I had another brand before and it had a hard time staying connected, but this worked very well.

Easy to install and connect to your router. If your router supports Beamforming signal is constant. Great for gaming connections that need a steady connection.

We needed a wireless adapter for a new desktop. After doing our usual research we purchased the NETGEAR - AC1200 Wireless-AC High-Gain Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter. We trust Netgear and this product has not let us down.

The computer in the back of the house was not picking up the internet very well but pairing this product with a Asus RT-AC87R has turned it completely around. This works so well and the installation was so easy!!

My old adapter could not pick up a signal from my router in my den. I now get four out of five bars. Just remember to disable the wi-fi adapter that's built in. Works fine for now. Only time will tell. So far I am loving it.

My desktop computer needed wireless to work so I purchased this item. The install was really easy and came with a CD to install the software and driver. Basically it was just plug and play after that point.

Worked great for my son's gaming computers once we had to move the router elsewhere in the our new house. He has been able to use his computer without any issues. It has worked very well with our ASUS router.

Excellent adapter, the only drawback is that it sticks out about 21/2 inches. So if you carry your laptop around, you just have to be careful not to bump into things.

I was tentative buying it because I was not sure if external wifi would connect as well as an internal card. But I didn't have an option for an internal card for my computer so I did research and decided to go with this one. I was not disappointed. It connected with ease with Windows 10, which was another concern. No problems there. There is no lag compared to an internal card and the signal is strong. Have had it for a few weeks and no issues. Glad I made the purchase.

I had the previous model and was pleased with the performance. When we added a computer to the tv in the spare room we realized the computer did not have wireless capability so I used my adaptor on that one and ordered a newer one for my computer. It comes with software, but it didn't like Win10. I had to call support and had to download the software to a flash drive on a different computer and then install it on mine. Works good now, but it should have had the updated software from the start.

This adapter replaces an onboard WiFi card which quit in my six-year-old laptop and it seems to do what it's supposed to do. I don't like the ungainly appearance of the device but that did not keep me from buying it.

I am roughly 50 feet from my ASUS RT-ACRH13 router. I have a different USB AC adapter that was using USB 2.0 instead of 3.0. The speeds were very lacking and I was not happy with the performance. I then found this one at Best Buy, on sale, and thought I would give it a shot. This thing is WAY better than my other adapter and it is getting an 800mb/s connection vs the 100ish I had previously. Very happy with this device.

I bought a desktop pc from bestbuy.com and didn't realize I bought one without WiFi when I ordered it. Bought this plug in for the computer since it was the simplest way to get online. Love the device. It connects quickly and runs great on my pc with fast download/upload speed. The only issue is if the Netgear program is shut off, then the WiFi doesn't work. Needing to run the side program when I am running Windows 11 is a little bit of a drag. That is why I rated this device 4 out of 5 stars.

Set this up with a desktop system downstairs from the router. Got a weak signal on the 5 Ghz band, but the 2.4 GHz was strong and gave good performance. ISP is 100 Mbit/sec and I'm getting ~70 Mbit on the target computer.
One note: Windows found and initialized the adapter on its own, but the bandwidth was terrible until I downloaded and installed the Netgear driver from their website.

Great product. Bought based on price, reputation, and 5G ability. Shifted my home setup to 5G to avoid interference and needed to upgrade the wifi for an older PC at home. PC is under a desk and through a couple of doors and pulled in a strong and consistent connection since. No loss of download speed at all and it's back in business. Includes an extension cable with mount to relocate the antenna. Works wonderfully. Easy set up makes this a no-brainer.
