Q: what is the range to pick up distant wi-fi
A: We live in a area where the lots are 2.5 acre minimum and I can pick up several homes that are half a mile away.
A: I purchased with the same need and was told yes by a rep, I wasn't convinced because she didn't sound 100% certain, but it does support both. You can turn on monitor mode in your terminal. dif command depending on what youre running but a simple search should provide it easily
Q: Is this Windows 10 compatible?
A: Yes. I'm running my desktop on 10 with this adapter and it works fine.
A: Yes, I just picked this up for my PC and it works great for connecting to my wireless router. Make sure to plug it into the blue USB port on the PC if you have one for maximum speed, but that is not required to use it.
Q: I have a computer without wifi, this adapter can get to have wifi?
A: As long as your computer has a usb port you just plug the adapter in and it will find the wifi for you and your computer will have internet access. Good luck to you
A: Hmmm ... I had to think about that one. The adapter usually picks up what your wireless router has stored, and is transmitting. Used in that way it will pick up many of your neighbors signal, however their signal maybe protected. Used as a repeater or extender I can't say; only that this adapter has the longest range that I have ever witnessed or seen.
A: The simplest way I know of is to download the online version and save it via USB storage.
