Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My ISP provides 100Mb/sec. I am able to exceed the maximum allowed with both USB 2.0 and 3.0. So my experience shows that at least for speeds not exceeding 100, it makes no difference whether you use 2.0 or 3.0 (my provider is Xfinity ).
