Purchased to replace Netgear AC600. Purchased the Netgear AC1200 to increase WIFI speed. Recent internet provider increased WIFI speeds (5G). Thus the reason for going to Netgear AC1200 it was capable of receiving the faster WIFI. Installation was simple and quick. Software located the faster router. Downloads are now at double the speed. Glad we purchased this WIFI adapter.

I needed this for a new computer build works great with Win 10! Signal and connect ability to my wireless AC router was better than any previous device.

I needed an wifi connection for a desktop that did not have a WiFI card built in. I got the adapter back to work and within 2 minutes, WiFi and the day was saved! USB connection was truly plug and play. I went back and bought a different product a second machine that needed WiFi as well. It did not work at all. Took it back and bought a second Netgear AC1200.

It has great signal strength for houses with a desktop but need to be in an area without network wiring. It appears it has challanges with a high traffic time in house.

I recently added an AC wireless router to my network and it worked great except for my computer on the second floor of my house still using the built in wireless-n connection. I was only getting 10mb/s. I decided to upgrade to this Netgear AC modem to match my netgear wireless router. Now I'm getting 30-40mb/s, basically tripling my internet speed.

Purchased this to pair with our Netgear Nighthawk. The home we live in is 3000 square feet with an up/downstairs. The hawk is outstanding but just not throwing enough signal to our downstairs. This Netgear AC 1200 was super easy to hook up and pair with the hawk. I love Netgear quality and innovation. I highly recommend this product for maximum signal throw.

I first bought a similar (but more expensive) USB WiFi adaptor, but the software kept hanging up during install. I tired everything to get it to work, but finally gave up and went back to Best buy. They readily exchanged it and suggested this unit. It was easy to install and worked flawlessly.

This WiFi antenna was recommended by the Best Buy associate that was helping us. It was a cheaper antenna that he said was as good as the pricer options.

Works well, decent range and speed when used with my ASUS AC-1900 router.

I've purchased two of these adapters (both for gaming PC's that we custom built), and it actually runs great. One of my gaming PC's is hardwired in the living room, but the router is far from the PC in the 2nd bedroom. This wifi-adapter works great through the walls of my home (although I am not using it at any extremely long ranges)

In our new office space, we wanted to get away from running unsightly Ethernet cable along the floor so we tried the Netgear AC1200 USB WiFi adapter on one of our computers. We’re consistently getting 230-240Mbps up/down. We have a 250Mbps plan (up/down) through Google Fiber so to achieve virtually the same speed as Ethernet is pretty great.
