Upgrading from my ActionTec 704 has been a treat! After setting the DSL VCI and VPI, and a few network parameters, I was up and running. I like the possibility of 4 distinct SSIDs and access configurations, for 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz for myself and for guests. One shortcoming is that the control panel entries for turning the wireless radios on and off according to a schedule are greyed out. As I work during the day and sleep at night, automatically turning off wireless would reduce "phantom" power waste.

It's great when you have multiple devices that pulls a lot of speed from your internet. It has two wifi hotspots built in.

This DSL MODEM and WiFi router combo is not a bad buy for your money. It is somewhat more complicated to get setup than they let on though. The customer support can get you through any setup issues you may have though. The vertical stand is somewhat awakward though.

It was fairly easy to install after getting help over the phone. It has continued to work well since we installed it. The lights are a little bright if the lights in a room are off. We need to turn it if watching a movie with the lights off. Still we are happy with it.

Was looking to replace my Centurylink provided wireless modem and purchased this Netgear unit. It was very easy to set up and has some very cool features that can be accessed using a smart phone app. I have a 5000 sqft 2 story house with a basement. I plugged it in the kitchen on main floor and get good signal in whole house.

My old wireless modem/router always had issues with needing to be reset, probably because all my 4 tvs are smart (internet connected), plus 3 iPhones, an iPad, dish hoppers and Joeys, as well as a PS3 & 2 laptops and a PC. Well this modem has a dual band signal so I can split regular wireless devices with gaming and streaming devices for a smooth, trouble free wireless experience!

Bought for my son to take to school. Easily hooked up and covers his whole house. Nice you can have two passwords.

When your modem goes out you can't always wait for the phone company to send you one and usually theirs costs just as much. This one is much better than the phone company's version in my opinion. I have one at work and one at home. They work great and are easy to connect to with clever passwords that are easy to remember.
